So I saw Jurassic World today. Excellent blockbuster. It feels at the same time very connected to the first three Jurassic Park movies, but at the same time different. The first three to me were essentially horror movies about man playing god and the consequences of doing such. Since so much time has taken place between III and 'World', with the public apparently not caring about a loose T-Rex in San Diego in 1997, World feels more like a science fiction thrill a minute ride instead of a horror film. It's gruesome, but more lighthearted in a way. The characters, even though they were written thinly, were also very charming.
P.S: Holy shit at the music. I haven't seen Jurassic Park in a long time, so I forgot just how majestic and stunning the main theme to the series is. Forget anything else John Williams has composed, THIS is his best work. I cried like a b.itch when I heard it today before I caught myself.
I was fairly disappointed with this flick. I've been anticipating this movie for a long time now (a couple of years, actually) and I was so excited when I went to the theater to see it yesterday. I left feeling like a cheap, used rag doll when I left. I wasn't expecting it to compare to Jurassic Park, by any means, but it was just disappointing overall.
It felt like a homage to Jurassic Park.
There wasn't anything new or interesting. The fact that they had to highlight the old T-Rex again... That fight was cheese.

It was meant to pay homage and there is nothing wrong with that. It is a sequel that supposedly retconned the last two JPs. What would you guys have preferred near the end that would've been better than the T-Rex making it's return, the I-Rex and the humans play ring around the mosasaur pool for awhile 'til it ate one of them? Yay!
Yeah, I'm curious as to what would've been preferred at the end if not the original T-Rex that everyone loved, then. How dare a sequel pay tribute to one of the most well received groundbreaking movies of all time!
I don't care what you guys think.
It was cheese. Pure PG cheese.
I-Rex was a hybrid of different animals. It had advantages that would've overwhelmed the T-Rex. It was also supposed to be smarter.
But it went the way of King Kong with the PG shit ending.
The acting also wasn't that good.

Cheese? Does it come with breadsticks 'cause it sure smelt like some good cheese. Not like that moldy cheese you labeled Pokémon anime you left in the back of the fridge.
Seriously though, what are you even talking about? Just because the I-Rex was cunning didn't make it invincible and the T-Rex was up in it's face so no time for them clever girl moments, only action.
Social justice warriors believe in an extreme left-wing ideology that combines feminism, progressivism, and political correctness into a totalitarian system that attempts to censor speech and promote fringe lifestyles while actively discriminating against men, particularly white men. They are the internet activist arm of Western progressivism that acts as a vigilante group to ensure compliance and homogeny of far left thought.
The true definition of SJW is up for debate, but most generally it has become a catch-all term that describes feminists and liberals who actively try to solve the perceived social injustices of modern society by organizing in online communities to disseminate propaganda, censor speech, and punish individuals by getting them terminated from their employment. They have also been successful at positioning themselves in the upper echelons of universities, media organizations, and tech companies.
