My Team vs Middle Earth

The events of "The Lord of the Rings" are drastically changed, as Eru Iluvater draweths 9 foreigners to his realm, Middle Earth. Everything else stays the same, but the heroes change. Can these people pull it off?:

Bruce Wayne(Ring Bearer, in place of Frodo Baggins)
T 800 Terminator(In place of Samwise Gamgee)

Captain America(In place of Aragorn)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer(In place of Legolas)
The Man with no Name(In place of Gimli)
Wolverine(In place of Boromir)

Any two Ghostbuseters(In place of Merry and Pippin)

EU Luke Skywalker(In place of Gandalf)

Well, the characters are all far superior to the ME versions, so yes.

Only problem is if they can resist ring.

If so, then EU Luke just sneaks into Mordor, mind tricks orc into leading him to Mount Doom and then throws it in.

Put Gorgon or Iron Fist in the place of Legolas, Buffy is just teh suck.

However, with this team, the Balrog is killed as soon as they see it, Batman can use the ring all he wants, etc... I only see good things.

That's the problem though. The ring has a feat of never being resisted, and I'm not sure if even Batman's formidable willpower can beat it.

You gave the ring to Batman? Holy shit were f*ked. Batman takes the ring for himself.

The Man with no Name will certainly attempt to take the ring.

:P The internal conflict is delicious. He'll think that only HE can take the ring to Mt Doom, with no help from anyone else. On the other hand, he has resisted Darkseid before...

would be fun to see that line up on the other way

Frodo as Batman in the Dark Knight
Sam send back from the Future to kill Sarah Connor / Protect John Connor
and Gandalf vs. Darth Vader laughing
