What do you mean a Ho-oh? There's been shown to be only one so far.
And he's not just the first episode, but some others as well (most of them are just in the same nature though, where he appears briefly at the end or beginning, and flies off elsewhere).
Speaking of which, I loved that "For Ho-oh, the bells toll" episode, back when I watched the anime.
Isn't it like off the air now, though? If so, about time.
Haha, wow. I remember watching most of those scenes from the episodes too.
When I was younger, I actually thought he was brave and curagous during the first few episodes, but then not too long after, I kinda realized "Nah, he's a dumbass. No way he's actually gonna become a #1 Pokemon Master someday".
The future may prove me wrong, but I somehow doubt it...
It also doesn't help that he sounds worse and worse each time he gets a new voice actor.
Still lookin' forward to that Ho-oh movie (which also has Lugia in it, but meh ).
Yeah... I pointed out already that Attack form Deoxys has higher attack stats than Mewtwo, so no one's arguing that Mewtwo would beat him in the metagame. He can arguably beat the other forms of Deoxys though with the right strategies.
Yeah, I remember that. Awkward Saturday morning that was for me when I saw it on TV...
Also, you didn't answer my questions from the previous page. I'd really like to know.

It's from the Canalave Library in the 4th gen games.
It explains why Pokemon help people, and why they can be found in tall grass:
"Long ago, when Sinnoh had just been
made, Pokémon and humans led
separate lives.
That is not to say they did not help
each other. No, indeed they did.
They supplied each other with goods,
and supported each other.
A Pokémon proposed to the others
to always be ready to help humans.
It asked that Pokémon be ready to
appear before humans always.
Thus, to this day, Pokémon appear
to us if we venture into tall grass."
This is the widely accepted logical explanation in all Pokemon media why the legendaries, or any Pokemon for that matter, do not interfere in human affairs... unless it is controlled or made by humans
Yes.
After Lugia was 'released' out of Pryce's mind control, it pwned Ho-oh with a Hydro Pump.

In case anyone is wondering what the connection of those tears bringing Ash to life, here's the explanation:
It was edited out from the commercial release, because 4Kids deems it 'too dark' for children.
IMO, it would've made a lot more sense if they left it in the final commercial release.
