I guess, but it's like a video game with gorgeous graphics, but shit gameplay.

Fair enough. I do hope they try a bit harder with the story though, even if it's just a teeny tiny bit harder. The first movie was essentially just Pocahontas, but with aliens.
Ehhh gotta disagree here. Point of a theme park ride is to be fun and most Marvel movies are way more fun than Avatar.

I found the third one predicable and fairly boring. I only watched it because we had a movie day at work. Very glad I didn’t pay for it.
So, it’ll be years of hearing ppl gush over the sequels, and SMHing.
You and I have both seen the first one. If you liked it and are looking forward to the sequel(s) you’re going on what you enjoyed.
I didn’t like the first one and am not looking forward to the sequel(s) going on what I didn’t enjoy.
This isn’t groundbreaking stuff here kaz; we all of us have posted statements along the lines of “man, movie X part one was great/sucked, I can’t wait for/i’m gonna pass on the sequel”.
And it WILL be years of hearing ppl gush over the sequels (ppl still gush over part one almost ten years later). Though, much like i’m doing w. the JOKER movie, i’ll minimize exposure to the gush by not going into threads dedicated to them.
Here though, i’m just stating my opinion, prior to the movie coming out, and posting again to clarify that opinion for ppl who seem to find it hard to grasp plain English as it pertains to things they disagree with, then bidding the subject, the thread, and those ppl, adieu.
This is one I will watch in theatres. Simply because I missed the original on its theatrical release, and unlike most films the 3D was supposed to be worth seeing for Avatar.
Me and family saw the first one theatrically, and all we remember was how the story left something to be desired, not so much how pretty the effects were. I have no interest in seeing another something that is beautiful on the outside but soulless on the inside.
