Looking better...
"Thanks for the heads up Vlad, I'll keep an eye out for those boarding ships."
"We're doing good guys, new orders," Wentar says into his com unit.
"Large ships I want you to keep hitting those bombers.
"All fighters group up and hit that second Interceptor group, we need to thin those numbers before the boarding craft get here.
"Loj'oon, keep harassing Hanza, Altar escort those light fighters."
Three Events again.

1. Melee
In the swirling chaos of combat you and an enemy engage each other. Fight normally.
One of the bombers defends itself when you close in. It is still faster and more maneuverable than your ship, but you bring it down.
2. Wingman
Situation: Do not draw a card. Instead, you get one turn of combat to destroy another fighter. if you succeed, you also prevent one Pilot on your side being destroyed this turn (reduce hits appropriately).
No luck- Wentar comes close with four successes, but Vlad doesn't pick it up.
3. You've Got a Problem...
Draw again if you are undamaged. Damaged systems start to fail. Take 3 damage. You may make an Intelligence + Fix-It roll. Each successes reduces the damage by one (to zero).
Vlad misfires trying to bring down that bomber and one of his shots grazes your own shields. You manage to re-route some power to fix it up.
-
Loj'oon and Hanza are zipping around each other almost aimlessly in this fight. Neither is really gaining an edge despite Hanza's fighter being more maneuverable.
Altar takes three events- On Your Six, Melee, and You've Got a Problem. His fighter is trailing smoke quite visibly now but he gets two fighters for his troubles.
-
The assault on the interceptors doesn't go quite as planned- they remain evasive, then chase down the large ships! One of the bigger ships is destroyed as a few interceptors gang up on it. You don't get there in time (your failed Wingman test).
The Srum are down to four bombers, who make a run on the generator again. It is looking pretty shaky but you may be able to hold out long enough...

We're getting there!
"Heavy fighters and Medium fighters gang up on those Bombers!" Wentar orders as the Bombers make another run.
"Large ships and Light fighters take out that first group of interceptors!
"Altar I wont blame you if you want to pull out right now, but if you think you can stick it out for awhile longer group up with the Light Fighters.
"Doin' great Loj'oon, keep at it."
Wentar will fly with the Medium fighters and another Three Events.

1. Bombing Run
You and two other ships may commence a Bombing Run on a target this turn. Ignore if there are no valid targets.
No dice there...
2. Turbo Lock
Maneuver Test (Level X). You come under fire from Turbo lasers. Take 3 damage if you fail. Ignore if there are no enemy Capital Ships.
Also no dice!
3. Wingman
Situation: Do not draw a card. Instead, you get one turn of combat to destroy another fighter. if you succeed, you also prevent one Pilot on your side being destroyed this turn (reduce hits appropriately).
And again, Wentar fails to kill a bomber in one go.
-
"I can hold it," Altar responds, zipping over to help the light fighters. However, he's experiencing another Problem in his singular event, and you think you hear something important break over the comms. "Alright, maybe not. I'm going to return to the Seat. See you on-board."
The Jaded Drifter navigates its way out of the battle.
Meanwhile...
"Wentar, incoming!" Loj'oon and Vlad shout nearly simultaneously, as Hanza decides that you make a tasty target. He blasts you for 5 damage. Vlad fires back but misses.
-
No bombers are destroyed this round.
At evens in numbers, the first squadron takes a loss from the large and light ships. In retaliation, the second squadron dismantles a light fighter and damages the very last one.

"Roger that Altar," Wentar repiles as he watches the Jaded Drifter return to the Seat.
This isn't good... Wentar thinks to himself. At this rate we wont have the numbers to hold off those boarding craft.
"Medium fighters and Heavy Fighters, go for that second group of interceptors," Wentar orders.
"Everyone else hit the bombers.
"Loj'oon, escort those medium fighters. I'll hunt Hanza."
(Unless I totally need to choose a wing and events, in that case I'll escort the last Light Fighter and hit three events. )

No events needed for hunting an Ace!
At first you have trouble maneuvering yourself into position to fire on Hanza. Vlad helps here by holding down the firing trigger in his turret and unleashing a spray of lasers toward the wide-winged craft. Hanza is forced to barrel-roll his way clear, giving you time to get on his tail. He takes 7 damage from the combined fire!
When he spins clear of your line of fire, he jets away before coming back around. He deals you 5 damage in return, your shields flaring harshly as one bolt comes close to the cockpit!
-
Loj'oon takes three events. An interceptor tries getting On His Six, to no avail. He blows it away in an Melee, then another in a second Melee, then hits a refresh and blows away a third by Closing In! He gets a little dinged up in the process...
-
... but has led the medium and heavy fighters to victory! The second squadron is annihilated this turn.
The remaining interceptors blow up a large ship- easy pickings for them, they are rolling 10 dice in their attacks there.
One bomber gone, three bombers remain! They are proving to be ineffective now.

Wentar really isn't letting Hanza get away with much, here! Hanza is going in for a bombing run when Wentar finds him again and hits him for 5 damage.
-
Loj'oon has to redraw a few times before getting anything he can use (since the flagship has not yet arrived). He is having trouble maneuvering and nearly hits an interceptor head-on.
-
Two interceptors are destroyed! And only one bombers remains...

They actually fail to get the bomber. It escorts Hanza on another bombing run. The interceptor is toast, however. It goes spiraling off and is vaporized by a newly arrived squadron of interceptors running interference around three long boarding craft that have launched from the hangars of the Overlord's flagship- a spiny black vessel armed to the teeth.
With the interceptors are a half dozen more bombers.

1. Boxed In
Situation: With so many ships in close proximity you cannot use full thrust. Reduce Thrust by two.
Things are a little tight again with the newly deployed ships...
2. Melee
In the swirling chaos of combat you and an enemy engage each other. Fight normally. If you have Killer Instinct this event becomes a Closing In.
Vlad comes up trumps when you fail to down your interceptor, blowing it away before it causes too much trouble.
3. Closing In
You move in close to your opponent, ready for the kill. Fight normally, except you win initiative in the first turn and get a three dice attack bonus.
Boom! Interceptor vaporized as you put some lasers through its fuel tank.
-
Loj'oon finds an interceptor On His Six again, but as before is able to twist his way out of it and shoot it down. He zips through the explosion and covers an ally.
A heavy fighter and an interceptor collide and are destroyed.
The bombers commence their attack run on failing generator. Their torpedoes find their mark and come just short of total destruction... until Hanza zips in behind them. His single torpedo strikes something important and exposed, leading to an awful explosion as the generator gives out.
With the shield weakened, Bombing Runs are no longer reduced by 1.
-
Meanwhile, the Seat's defense systems are starting to go into overload. Turbolaser banks begin to blaze haphazardly into the dogfighting, targeting the capital ship and the bombers. Two bombers go careening off and smear across the Seat's armored surface. The flagship's shields hold.

There is a problem with your order- light fighters do not have a Payload rating! It cannot initiate attack runs that will damage the boarding transports.

Curses! Ummm, Swap the Lights with the Mediums and have Loj'oon escort the lights instead?
If the Mediums have no Payload then swap the Lights with the Heavies and no changes to Loj'oon's orders.

1. On Your Six
An enemy fighter has got onto your tail. Fight your opponent but ignore any bonuses from having better or superior Thrust / Manoeuvrability and your opponent fires first. If you have Tactical Awareness this event becomes a Melee.
The interceptors go after the ships trying to blow up the transports, so Wentar catches one on his tail. It deals 4 damage before being blown up.
2. Closing In
You move in close to your opponent, ready for the kill. Fight normally, except you win initiative in the first turn and get a three dice attack bonus.
Boom! You get one clean.
3. Wingman
Situation: Do not draw a card. Instead, you get one turn of combat to destroy another fighter. if you succeed, you also prevent one Pilot on your side being destroyed this turn (reduce hits appropriately).
You don't quite get it... but Vlad does!
-
Your fighters destroy an interceptor but are not the target. The Srum go zipping after your large freighter... except you drop in and save it from destruction!
Your ships drop in and launch torpedoes. Since the transports are not heavily armored, they get their Payload rating added to whatever their roll. They come away having done 11 damage. They take damage from turret fire- each transport has two turbolasers.
-
Loj'oon decides to chase Hanza again, since his ward was left alone. Hanza ignores him and participates in the bombing run on the second shield generator. They roll well and there are some magnificent explosions across the surface of the station.
The Seat's turbolasers and missile launchers are running at full power now and explosions are tearing through the space around you. One of the transports takes light hits, a bomber is destroyed, and the flagship stands strong through a missile strike.
All is chaos.
