My apologies, it was a Snickers commercial, not the Fiat one. Still, any form of advertisement for a big blockbuster like this gets me pumped.
They should reshoot that Doritos commercial with Zilla so that after Zilla picks up the truck, he turns and sees the new Godzilla towering over him, looking at him like "Do you have something of mine?"
Welcome to my world. Let's return him to silly mode even before his new movie, the one that's supposed to reinvigorate his terrifying, nuclear-metaphor status, is out.

The movie's not ruined. But this pre-movie reveal (far outdoing any trailer) shows a lack of...respect? Not so much for the kaiju icon but really for the potential viewing audience. The trailers were discrete for a reason.
I hate greed. And that's what the timing of this commercial smacks of, imho. Just a money-lustful chafing at the bit to cash in ASAFP.
Man, can't wait til the Revolution.
*mini-rant sequence terminated*

It's not going to ruin the film per se, but a large part of both the film's plot and advertising revolve around a Ozai-like build up to Godzilla. We were only teased with his appearance, given either little glimpses or 2-second shots of him. The movie would be the first time you got to see him and his new design in full. however, this commercial, not ruins, but definitely dilutes that by showing Godzilla in full for an extended period of time, so when he finally makes his appearance in the film, you'll already know what he looks like, and it won't be as surprising.
Just saw this.
It's a good movie I give it an 8.
The fights are cool and the "muto finisher" is awesome!
The thing that bothered me is the the movie is called Godzilla yet he has max 12-15 minutes screen time and you are forced to watch this lame kickass guy who you simply cant give a phuck about.
Bryan Carston is a much better actor but he gets less screen time off course.
Also what's with the plot?
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: The mutos and godzilla feed off radiation. Then the moronic military comes up with the idea to nuke them even though it didnt work the 1st time.So if they try with a bigger bomb they must succeed.
Godzilla being a "hero" again was nice.
The atomic breath was done damn well!
Also Muto goes on a rampage Godzilla arrives to kick hiss ass in the next damn second the fight get's cut showing that idiotic kid watching it in the tv....

Some of the Godzilla movies from the 80's where sorta like that for Godzilla's screen time especially with Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, He doesn't show until over halfway
also i didn't have any problems with the film itself in regards to Aaron Taylor Johnson & the first Muto fight....each to their own i suppose.
