The only thing the Jedi were iron gripping was death, when 66 was executed.

Yeah I don't get that. Wasn't it Mace who suggested that he and Yoda inform people that "Their ability to use the force had diminished?" It wasn't the force in general, they were using it quite fine during combat.

Gender: Male Location: 4th Street Underpass, Manhattan
I must say, reading this thread, it reminds me of that Batman vs John McClane thread, which basically had Batman standing defenselessly while McClane pumped clips into him, and then claiming that the reason that it was a viable thread was because it was possible (lies) that Batman might (lies) be able to dodge the bullets

Because they aren't in the movies. Besides, Voldemort can use a time turner, go back in time, and kill their parents.

Nah. He'll have no interaction with his future self. Time traveling 101.

"The Time-Turner was a device capable of time travel. The Time-Turner resembled an hourglass on a necklace. The number of times one turns the hourglass corresponds to the number of hours one travels back in time. It is extremely important that the user of a Time-Turner not be seen by past or future versions of themselves unless, of course, said versions are aware of their usage of a Time-Turner. A possible scenario is a wizard/witch killing their past or future selves by mistake."
Ergo, in addition to the likelihood of failure even if he could go back, he wouldnt be to wind it back enough, in time. He'd be killed fiddling with his watch. Next.
LOL Though, If marty McFly had to pre-wind a hand crank on the front of the DeLorean 1 rotation for every hour it travelled through, Marty would have been toasted by the Libyans in the 1st half hour of BTTF1.

Or using a levitation spell and just spinning it around really fast. OR, using a machine to spin it around super super fast.
1 minute is all that is required to go back one year with some rotary wood working tools. A dremel tool, alone, can rotate from 2000 to 40000 RPMs. Just one minute at the highest power setting is 4 and a half years.
For example, in the Hogwarts Van Damme thread, "42 minutes of prep" is 192 years.
Then there is wood working spindles that spin around in the 60,000 RPMs and this would be far easier to afix the time turner to.
Nice dremel idea, but that wouldn't work at hogwarts, where the prep'd take place..cause its technology. (According at least to RJ's previous defenses) The dremel also wouldnt be too precise in its landing point.
