Thread takes place inside of a Matrix that preserves each side's powers. I stated this back in the nascent days of the MVF. It's the only way the fights can take place because they are each from different universes unless specified in the films. (ie, Star Wars states it in the opening credits of each film that it's the same universe.)
All the ways you wish you could be, that's me. I look like you wanna look, I **** like you wanna ****, I am smart, capable, and most importantly, I am free in all the ways that you are not.
A line which doesn't negate the universal presence of the Force.

Actually it does. When Yoda said "Galaxy" in the singular sense, it is restricted to SWgalaxy only.

I feel weird not knowing this. Can you post the scene?

Admiral Motti: "This station is now the ultimate power in the universe!"
I guess he must be right. Afterall, he said it.

Aaaaaaand what DDM said went in your left ear and out the right.
Read what he said again. Their powers are with them, but the Force does not bind the HPGalaxy together. They can still do all the same things they did in SWGalaxy.
It really doesn't make a difference, truth be told, why are we arguing about something that is of no relevance?
What I just said, above.

Motti was obviously placing too much confidence in the Death Star when he said that.

Nope thats a modification denying the force of its basic attributes.
It does make a difference, cause it points out that if the force is what it is, it is everything present in this contest..and that kinda rules out a HP win, as all the advantages would be with the force users, but you've tried to mess with it totally in the wizards favour lol
Wizard magic works as it did onscreen. Force powers work as they did onscreen.
The Galaxy does not have to bind the Galaxy together for force powers to work in the MVF. After all, if the wizards were in SWGalaxy, their magic would work just fine.

So in order for a Jedi to wield the force, they must be in a Galaxy that is binded by the force?
K. Guess they're screwed here then.
On a side note, the Wizards, if on Coruscant, can wield magic just fine Figure that out.

And Kenobi and Yoda are fallible in-universe mortals, subject to the same oversimplification and generalization that anyone is, just like Motti. They're also notorious liars: "He betrayed and murdered your father."
Seriously, don't try that route. It's both silly and not fun.

Doesn't really matter, their force powers cannot surpass what we saw onscreen. All this "the force binds the galaxy together ZOMG!!!!" is nonsense.

Yep. The wizards're screwed. Rj. They were screwed AGES ago.
Cause if the force is present at all, it has all its attributes.
Look up Chi, Prana, (Or 'the force' as the call it in SW parts ) Jung, Einstein's unified field theory and other things that all point to "force" prescence in our galaxy universe.
(Its all the stuff that GL based the force on.)
And that'll the end of your attempted, desperate force gimping.
