What a terrible game, and this is the summit of world football!
The Dutch were lucky they didn´t have that Mexican "dracula" ref otherwise they woul have had only the the keeper on the pitch at the end.
Talk about kicking the crap out of your opponents. That´s what techically inferior teams generaly do, even in youth teams.
Glad Spain won actually, they kept to their system & were patient.
Thomas Müller (Germany) is the top goal scorer!!. Going by the new rules if more than one players has the most goals, assists come into it. Quite an achievment for a player who was playing lower league football a year ago.

He also got the best young player award. It was a very successful world cup for him. It will be interesting to see what he's going to do in the future.
Yeah, I'll admit, I cried last night. Now, we're never going to win the World Cup anymore... Robben should've scored twice in that match, one of them was almost a sure thing. We were shit at the beginning of the first half end the end of the second, and during most of the extra time. The action preceding Iniesta's goal was offside, but Spain deserved it anyway.
No one deserves anything, goals decide games whether they are valid or not. The goal kick decision proir to the goal was just rediculous, the shot hit the arm of a player in the wall and should have been a corner.
Whe two teams cannot be seperated by goals, bad decisions normally decide games.
Ironic how Cruyff´s "total football" system which he brought to Barcelona, won Spain the world cup against the Netherlands.
If the Netherlands keep producing qulality players, they might do well in the next world cup, mind you that´s supposed to be in Brazil so you gotta bet on Brazil taking it.
They should've won it in 1974 and 1978. They could've won it this time around, but they were shit in the final. The Dutch team is doomed to be one of the better teams at the tournament but to never win it. Then again, Spain used to be one of those teams as well and they've won it.
They were the better team for most of the match and created far more chances. If it wasn't for Stekelenburg it could've been a far worse outcome for us. Then again, nothing is worse than losing the World Cup, whether you lose it by 1-0 or 4-0.
Spain was the better team, but I still wanted Holland to win. Would've been great for them to beat the European Champs/Favourite. N it was a really tight game, great defending by both, as well as stupid mistakes by both that nearly cost 'em.
One decision I wasn't sure about was during a free kick a Spanish player in the wall lifted his elbow and the ball hit his elbow then went out. Surely that calls for another free kick, doesn't it?
Either way, in that situation we weren't given a corner, which it clearly was. Also, I really don't think the referee was that great. He constantly interrupted the flow of the game, completely destroyed it.
