Well used a pretty BAMF medical technique, so I don't think her knowledge only extends to the point of herbalism. According to Wookie she was also.. Tsunade's rival? Dunno about that.

Hinata has always loved Naruto. Sakura treats Naruto like garbage.(part 1 logic) So why would anyone need another reason to believe Hinata is better?
