So are you saying Morgan is just ignoring the clear and dire consequences that will come from his actions? He's so hesitant to kill, he doesn't mind that others under his watch, children and women and infirm included will get killed because of him?
^Exactly. Morgan went from homicidal/suicidal to hyper pacifistic. The only positive about it is that at least now he has a will to live (and protect) and is a very, very capable fighter. He's just unwilling to kill and due to that his decision making is highly questionable, especially with his fragile mental state. He's still just trying to cope at this point. He hasn't gotten to the place he really needs to be at to survive in this world, he's just far more capable than most.
I think it's safe to say that Morgan is now the old Rick, where he just wants to get along and not kill other people and it will all work out if you believe.
Probably also a safe bet that the captive Wolf will get out at some point and either kill or hold someone captive and Morgan will have to snap out of his Kumbaya-Morgan phase and turn into Killer-Rick 2.0. The pragmatic guy who understands how life in the Z-Apoc works and doesn't hesitate to put bullets at the first sign of a threat.
At least I hope so, because I'm not digging Morgan being Hershel 2.0 (what I thought at first), the calming voice of reason in Rick's ear, cos he sucks at it and Rick has evolved beyond that.
Morgan hesitates and refuses to kill his zombie wife, the result is that his son dies.
Morgan hesitates to kill zombie scavenger chasing him and the result leads to Eastman's death (in such a dumb way.).
Morgan refuses to kill Alpha Wolf who constantly says he's going to kill Morgan and everyone else that he can. Morgan is probably going to die to him along with others.
It's like everyone dies around him because of his decisions.
Morgan can kill Walkers now, though. He just has a problem killing living people because he believes all people deserve a chance at redemption like he was provided by Eastman. It's a commendable, though it's definitely going to lead to someone getting killed, and he's still too mentally unstable to see beyond his mental crutch.
Also, honestly, Eastman killed Eastman. He had his staff. He didn't need to grab Morgan and put himself between him and the walker to save him. All it would have taken was a quick strike to the walker's head with his staff and Morgan's safe. That was just the Circle of Derp closing.
I can't decide whether the stupidest instance over the last couple seasons is Eastman getting bit, Nicholas knocking Glenn into the herd, Tyreese getting bit by Noah's little brother because he was lost in a photo, or that Alexandria guy who was standing with the rest of the group (in a clearing in everyone's line of sight, mind you) a couple episodes ago and still somehow managed to get bit by apparently a teleporting walker that came out of literally nowhere.
Morgan letting the 2 wolves go in the woods (one which is the one held captive now). Led to the wolves going on a killing spree in Alexandria. The captive wolf even said that the pictures he found of Alexandria led him to find the place.
Anyhow. This version of Morgan is a huge disappointment. I was expecting boobie trap, killing machine, survivalist, crazy Morgan. Not this F@g.
Honestly, there's no rational justification for Morgan's actions. I agree that he might *think* he's doing the right thing... But he's definitely not. He's being selfish and reckless--and that recklessness is bound to get others hurt/killed.
Anyway, aside from Shane, Glenn, and Hershel(a little bit), I'm happy with all of the main character deaths so far(stupid as some of them were.) Most of them just needed to go away, period...
Lori? Annoying b*tch who needed to die by any means necessary.
Noah? Annoying b*tch who needed to die by any means necessary.
Tyreese? Annoying b*tch who needed to die by any means necessary.
'T-Dog'? Annoying b*tch who needed to die by any means necessary.
Beth? Annoying b*tch who needed to die by any means necessary.
Dale? Annoying b*tch who needed to die by any means necessary.
Andrea? Annoying b*tch who needed to die by any means necessary.
Etc.

Beth's death was the result of a mistake being made in a standoff. Even the character that pulled the trigger stated it was unintentional. It was at least reasonable given how tense the situation was and Beth making the sudden aggressive action.
Tyreese, on the otherhand, not only got bit by the Noah's brother unnecessarily due to just basically staring off into nothingness and not paying attention, but then doubled down on that derp by letting a second walker bite him again as if he wasn't strong enough to hold it off to grab the object he eventually bashed it's brains in with. Tyreese's death is in the Hall of Fame of Pointless Deaths. It was basically putting the character out of it's misery because he'd been written so poorly.
You're right, I forgot all about that. I don't understand how this is hard for him to see.
On Eastman's death, it could've been a lot better. They should've let the two fight a horde of zombies together and Eastman sacrificing himself so Morgan can get away or something. He had a stick with more than enough range to stop that walker.
