it skirts the line of crazy, awesome, and just flat out ridiculous at time due to how over the top many grand masters are. such as the recent chapter just now.
yeah, gotta agree with you, wakkawakkawakka. never would have thought the author would try to justify fanservice with the whole 'she could use even clothe as weapon' thing. still, impressive in a way. especially Tochumaru. talk about a tough mouse.
One would think that the uber resin could be used to encase Shigure's entire body in the resin if restraining her was that important....or electrifying the floors

wakkawakkawakka: good point. you'd think a full body restrainer or whatever would be much more effective or something, but I guess even common sense must be mercilessly crushed like that in story by the power of fanservice.
For the fights and seeing Hayato do superhuman shit with martial arts its pretty cool. Plus whenever the author decides to have Kenichi actually do stuff, the manga is enjoyable.
But yeah the fanservice make the manga unreadable at times due to how extreme the fanservice is.
Seriously if I were one of the guards I probably would've just took pictures of nude Shigure and said **** it.
And, yes, I would fear the beat down from Akisame. But, he'd probably be okay with me freeing her in exchange for relations, me thinks. In fact, I'd beg Shigure to take me with her so I could train with the Ryo group.
I don't have anywhere near enough money to make that happen. lol. I would estimate that value of HSDK to be in the low millions: it is that big.

and I suppose so, but would you really want to be on the receiving end of a beatdown from Akisame? it doesn't sound particularly pleasant given how pissed he was last chapter and how creative he is in addition to his knowledge of the human body. if you really are willing, dadudemon, then I seriously commend you for your bravery.
as for how much HSDK is worth, I had a feeling that it'd be worth that much. hell, it's probably worth a few million more for all we know....
Oh god, Akisame's as bad as Kenshiro with his pressure point torture techniques.. If he really wanted to torture you, considering he could bring you back from the brink of death every time....?

I meant it in regard to after Shigure got out of the resin not before. And I still doubt it would work though I do find it funny that is perhaps the first time Shigure has complained about being nude in front of the enemy even though Lance of the West happened. Then again this is the first time she's ahd a chapter where she's fought completely nude so...
I also find it strange the the auther censored Shigure's nipples since he's had no problem showing them in the past.
Oh and I would totally support you buying HSDK just to see what you would come up with.

And, yes, I think the series is worth several million dollars. A less popular manga got sold (the rights) a few years back. I don't remember which one but it sold for like $4 million. I remember reading that and thinking, "Shiieeeeet, this stuff is worth more than I thought." The author stayed on board after it was sold but it does show that you can create quite profitable empires by becoming a serialized mangaka.
Dude, I totally would make it much more seinen (without going down the path of Hentai). No reason to skirt so close to the edge every single damn chapter. Minimal effort would be needed to make this a seinen manga. I might even tone down the ecchi portions a bit just because there would be sexier in other places.
For 1, Kenich would have been laid many times, by now. It's so dumb that he has to run around with blue balls, all the time. Renka, Kira, his gardening best bud (forget her name). He could make so many young women happy if he would just splooge in their vag.
All that fighting and training doesn't give fighters much time for getting laid, I guess.. Which is why Ken Masters loses to Ryu in the tournament, but beats him in life, because he has a wife and kids and, you know, a LIFE..

possibly. but then again, Kensei did have time to have a family; he just chose to leave China. and Tanaka would have had a family too if it wasn't for Ogata killing his pregnant wife amongst other things. so I guess it simply comes down to actually making an effort rather than just having no time for a sex life.
