what is so damn special about the pod racing scene in episode 1? I mean really why does everyone praise that scene. episode 1 was like a cartoon. I know lucas wanted to change the feel so he could gain new fans but what is there for the old fans.What about in episode it seems like lucas got bored and ran out of ideas for action sequences i mean when obi wan jumped out of that window and grabbed ahold of the probe you wouldnt see any of that shit in the originals

The major problem with the with prequels is that Lucas went nuts over all the super-cool things a computer can do, and allowed the special to become the main character of the story. Suddenly the characters got lost in the grandeur of his arcade-game world.
What happened to caring about the characters? Frankly I love the fxs in the originals, they don't over-shadow the action or the people you're supposed to care for and be concerned about.
Lucas needs to realize what it was about the originals that made everyone like them and try to recapture that sense of concern, and connection with the story.
If I want to watch an arcade-game, I will. I want t see a movie!--give me story, emotions, and darn-it action!
if you dont like the prequels, dont watch them...whats so hard about that?
