I believe that when a game is fully developed and finished, the ending should be left alone. The game shouldn't be changed in any way shape or form other than adding DLC for side missions or more weapons or what have you. A video game to me, at least ones that have endings, is much like a story or a movie, except you interact far more with the product and the game. You really get into the character, you become attached to their story and their struggles because you physically control them, you help them through their obstacles and get them from point A to point B safely.
We all love finishing a long and epic mission and watching this badass cinematic, it's a rush of a feeling and you can really get into it because you are part of the character's journey. It may sound cheesy, but it's almost like watching your favorite movie ever and seeing it get remade completely with new actors and a new ending and everything, and totally butchering what you loved in it to begin with it. It's like taking a story you worked for years on and trashing the work completely to make it more "acceptable". News flash, you can't please everyone. Unless your a prostitute from another planet who has eight arms and no STD's, it's nearly impossible to make everyone happy.
So why bother? Not everyone understands the time, money, and work ethic involved in making a great game. And Mass Effect 3 was indeed great, it was beyond that, it was completely mind blowing. Why? Once again you become that character, you learn to understand their struggles, you help them make the right choices. So in a weird way, your kind of completely giving yourself plastic surgery by changing ANYTHING about that game. Do you want to do that to yourself? DO YOU!
"The Daemon lied with every breath. It could not help itself but to deceive and dismay, to riddle and ruin. The more we conversed, the closer I drew to one singularly ineluctable fact: I would gain no wisdom here."
No one's arguing that ME3 was a bad game. Like you said, it was a mind blowing experience. The ending however simply wasn't. If you liked it, more power to you. But Bioware basically got to Marauder Shields and then they were like...eh, let's just hurry up so we can go home. The endings were horrible; you had no real choice as to what you would do besides which direction you went, and you have no idea what happened to the people you spent years learning about and coming to love. If I had to have plastic surgery to find out what happens to me best friend, my lover, etc... I would because I want to know.

It's not really a dream per say but something anyone would already expect in an RPG that has you making choices. Take Dragon Age for example:
Whatever your character did in that game's world, it was mentioned. This ain't something we dream, this is something that needs to be added in every game like this. To just conclude a game about choice making and not be told how much your choices affected the world and it's people is not only lazy, but is also an insult to dedicated fans and if you still don't see it that way, God help you.
Until we get the extended cut we demanded (sorta), enjoy this folks:
Pretty much this. Loved the games up to the endings. Gameplay was awesome. Bioware does a great job of making you form an opinion about a fictional character at a greater level than most games I have played. I truly liked some characters a lot like Mordin and Tali, and some I truly didn't get along with like Ashley or the ambassador. But I don't like no real choice endings. No matter what you choose the ending was pretty much the same.

The packs in ME3's multiplayer are bullcrap. No matter how much I save, no matter which one I buy, I get nothing but weapon upgrades like rail amps and all that jazz. Rarely do I get any new weapons or characters. Is there anything you guys do to get them easily or do you just keep your fingers crossed in hopes you get what you want?
Even Mark Meer was surprised by the ending. I guess unlike Jennifer Hale, he wasn't indoctrinated or maybe he was to make it look like he's on our side. Either way, at least one of the Shepards made sense.
Seriously, enough with the multiplayer, Bioware. While I'm thankful these are free and all, I still find it annoying how we haven't heard anything more about any DLC for single player yet other than "the extended cut will expand the ending with returning voice actors." Give me more information on the Extended Cut, give me a hint that there will be a DLC mission that has you taking back Omega, or a mission that has you saving Emily Wong and replacing Diana Allers. Anything.
You think we would've heard more at E3 but instead, the only thing mentioned about ME3 by EA over there was that it was going on the Wii-U. Yippee
