Oblivion was the very first game I got for my 360 (actually it came with it as a gift)
heard Patrick Stewart and played around the dungeon, for a bit, got overwhelmed and bored by the character creator.... and never played again...
WRPGs are not my thing, I prefer JRPGs
That said, after reading the reviews, I find myself wanting to try this game... though I don't think I'll ever buy it... maybe the complete edition that will surely come out next year

Yeah, the first time I played Oblivion, I thought it was pretty cool and played for about 10 hours or so.
Stopped playing. Recently, Steam had everything for Oblivion for about 10 bucks and I got it again. Put in around 45 hours or so.
My friend is gifting me a copy so I play it regardless but I found that I'll probably put in another 40-50 hours or so. That's usually my maximum play time for a game unless it's very good and compelling (put in 70 hours in Dragon Age Origins)

It's so pretty
Got ganked by a couple of random vampire cultists and infected, luckily I died and when I reloaded there were bandits instead.....would have no idea how to heal vampirism.
Havent seen any dragons so far, disappointed. [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Besides the intro, so awesome.
I recall them saying that they had to readjust the dragons a tiny bit. One of the testers got jumped by two dragons right after the introduction was done. It's kinda how you got jumped by the Brotherhood in Mournhold when you went to sleep and got killed if you was level 1.
Not getting it either, basically dug a hole and played Oblivion for like a month when it came out, can't use that time now. But come sweet January ...
There will be hell to pay if I dont get this game tomorrow, I mean hell i am up at 4:15 simply because I cant sleep because of this game, it frustrates me that apprently some peopel can get it before its even out yet others cant even get a dispatch for the day its out. I think thats the beauty of online services like Steam, you pretty much know your getting it on the day.

Of course, that doesnt make it less frustrating, especially when I was foolish enough to order it from Amazon and not just buy the Steam version anyway, I guess I just wanted the box "sigh". I just dont see why its so hard for them to get it out on release day when some people already have it.
Hey I feel you. I'm about to go and pick mine up now. Don't sweat it though, the game may not be as good as you may believe it to be. You know what I mean? I'm expecting to be let down. I felt all hyped up to play New Vegas, and when I got it, I was let down. Just saying.
Well ive looked at a few reviews and as many resource sites that I could find and most people say its an excellent purchase and perhaps the best game ever made in the genre despite some typical bugs and such, its been dispatched so I should see it by tomorrow.
Its just I dont know whats more annoying, seeing several hours of videos go up on Skyrim from people who already have it or not having it myself, probably a combo of both.
