I get the feeling this novel is coming a few years too late. We're not getting the Kotor 3 we hoped for, and our beloved characters are taking a back seat to this Palpatine rip off and his empire, in an MMO no less.
As a set up for Kotor 3 this novel would've meant big bucks for Lucasarts, regardless of the quality of the writing or story telling.
