Shogun Warriors was an umbrella term for a bunch of different series featuring giant 'transforming' robots piloted by people.
I remember liking them (some of the series, not all) better than other anime like Voltron even.
Really cutting edge/original stuff mimic'd countless times by other properties such as Voltron, Transfomers, GoBots etc.
