Because of Gokus durability...the same reason I don't think "Non-transformed" Goku would take Superman out easily, Superman is hellava durable and his will power is insane.
I would enjoy if this was turned into a Gladiator vs Goku thread instead...I would be able.to give a thousand reasons on why Goku would be able to stomp that head. I have to play peak a boo when its involving Superman because of obvious reasons.
He withstood hundreds to thousands of high class 100 punches...punched through mountains, numerous of Nukes...hit with an attack that was seen on the outskirt of space, hit by an Island that was coming at him at super speed and the list goes on. He went through all of this in one fight. His opponent that was much weaker than him was hit by an attack that was triple the power of a planetary blast (kamehameha times 20), he was kicked through the planetary crust which also then hit him into two mountains destroying it, he was hit by a blast that had all of the energy from one solar system, he withstood thousands of high class 100 punches, cut in half, then a planet exploded on him, punched through mountain...hit by numerous of nuclear attacks. All of this happened in one fight.
Superman isn't taking them easily (he isn't taking them out at all honestly.).
You should at least watch the show Pr...you'll like it.
By the way...I know Superman. I would prefer it being Gladiator discussed since they are similar and I wouldn't have to hold my tongue since its Gladiator ill be talking about.

As for speed. Please look at this site. Scroll all the way down to the bottom until you get to a guy by the name of hitsusatsu11...GREAT DEBATOR...very knowledged on the characters. Please ignore the first guy because he doesnt know what he is talking about.
He pretty much sums it up on how fast DBZ characters are and he provide scan for each showing that he mentions. He even provides showings of them punching at light speed during the time they were kids.
Pr...I know of Superman fts and know everything there is to know of the character. Don't know why you would say anything different.
C'mon Carver, you've been proven wrong about the guy enough times; please don't take this to the extent where I'm going to actually assume you're just doing it because you think I'm stupid, because i won't take that very well.
Then why have you been proven wrong so many times? And opinions can be wrong, especially when you say things that directly contradict what's stated on panel.
In those scans in my previous post...Tien is punching Goku at "light speed". Akira himself named the attack "light speed punch attack". It's pretty much clear that Goku at his child hood was combating at FTL speeds.
Goku before reaching Super Saiyan was significantly faster...hell, I would probably put him above flash level speeds since Goku by the time the Frieza saga came could see his younger FTL self in slow motion.
I don't get proven wrong though...people try to do it to "no avail". I admit...you have defeated me a couple of times but let's not pretend like its consistent.
I don't contradict what's stated on panel.

You've contradicted it plenty. Speed of sound? 2000mps? Apollo? Vulcan? Martian Manhunter's blood? And that's just off the top of my (very tired) head.
I don't think any attack in DBZ is called "light speed punch attack".
But you can't count on the name of an attack:
Street Figther's Akuma's Kongou Kokuretsuzan is translated as "Continent Slicing Vajra Slash" yet he's only destroyed a mountain with it.
Also you still haven't answered my last post why you got nothing to say back?
The attack is called "light speed fury attack"...its in the scan that I presented. Tien arms turn into beams of light when he is punching Goku. Why name an attack light speed when its "not" light speed?
What was your last question because it might didnt make sense since you believe Goku can only shoot nuclear explosions when we have weaker beings than him destroying planetary objects.
Carver, they said ten tons and forty tons in that panel. If it was heavier because of the gravity they would have said so. someone would have been like "Oh my! with the gravity as high as it is that is whatever tons!!!!" DBZ Does that all the time. Also, do you have a scan that says the gravity was heavier on that planet? If so by how much? Or are you just assuming that the gravity is increased? I'm pretty sure you're just assuming. If you are not then great, show me. It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong about something, and unlike you I'd be happy to admit it. Also, DBZ is totally full of contradictions. You should know this. Like Krillen casually tossing a small rock Goku's way and having it hurt him.
As to other points how about Goku being worried about lava during his fight with freeza? If he his worried about lava, what is heat vision going to do? If DBZ characters are so fast why does it take them so long to fly to different places across the globe when time is an issue? Superman has flown to France and gotten some wine before Lois could finish a sentence or notice he left, btw. why can normal people, like mr. satan actually see them fight? if they are as fast as you claim shouldn't they be totally invisible to him and vidal? If their blasts are all so powerful, why hasn't the earth been totally destroyed several hundred times over by errant blasts? I know the characters have the ability to destroy a whole planet, it just isn't as easy for them as you seem to think. I could keep going, but it has been done. This same type of thread was here years ago and everything that could be said was then.
I think the best thing to do should be to agree to disagree. No one is going to convince Carver to be logical and objective, and Carver is not going to convince any of us with low balling Superman and exaggerating Goku. We should just let this thread die before people who aren't as civil as the current posters come in and start a flame war.
It was on a training ground on a Ki planet. The Ki planets have intense gravity which has been shown onpanel and using that one instance to justify Goku strength doesn't help your case when he have trillion of tons of force fts.

Let me do better than that...Krillin can beat Superman 10/10...Superman got stabbed through by objects from Brainiacs ships and then got koed from the ship exploding on him.
Or how about that instance where Deathstroke outpaced Superman and Superman couldn't catch him because Deathstroke was too fast.

Forgot to ad..Goku was punched in lava TWICE during his fight against Frieza. Him not wanting to take a swim in lava is just a humor part on Goku. Lava does nothing to the character.
When has Goku lifted trillions of tons? I'd love to see that panel. When has a DBZ character ever rammed a moon and exploded it with sheer physical force? I'd like to see a panel with some similar. Too bad it doesn't exist. What about Goku jumping out of the lava pit yelling about how his ass was on fire? Clearly hot temps can hurt him.
You know as well as I do the exploding gas station was early in Superman's career and he has gotten stronger, just like I know that Goku has gotten stronger. But even at the end of DBZ we see the characters flying forever to get anywhere and normal people being able to see them. This is the norm, not the exception. Supes being hurt by the nuke blast is the exception, not the norm as we have many other examples of him not being affected. Supes being hurt Brainiacs ship is the exception, not the norm. See the difference? Probably not, but I'll keep going. DBZ characters being seen while fighting by normal people, taking forever to fly anywhere, NOT destroying the planet with big attacks, etc. is the NORM not the exception. Everyone was super impressed when Gotenks flew around the world at a speed that is much slower than Superman.
Whether done for comedic reasons or not, the rock thing is just stupid. It doesn't change the fact that it happened in cannon. Again, that is an example of DBZ being inconsistent, comedy or not. I know as well as you do that it is silly and shouldn't really count against Goku. I thought it was fairly obvious I was using it as an example of how stupidly inconsistent DBZ can be. You don't see hulk all of a sudden unable to lift a car for the lulz do you? Because that would be stupidly inconsistent instead of funny. The point is, you can't rightly claim that Supes's high level feats are discounted because of his low ones while still using Goku's absolute best without taking into account his low ones. You can't have it both ways.
