He could have at least put his hands up and tried to fight. Or maybe even tried to bargain. But instead he yaks off and gives Hulk a sermon?

I admit that it was the most hilarious scene in the movie, and yet I can't get the feeling off that somehow, characters tend to become extremely dumbed down when facing Hulk just so Hulk can smash.

Thor could barely brace with BOTH his arms and his body, against Hulk's single arm smash, it wasn't a fight, just a simple showing that Hulk is a good deal stronger. Also, Thor ducked for cover from the jetfighter's ordinance! Hulk didn't need to.

Hulk is physically stronger.

Good for him.

Thor has more going for him than being physically strong.

Stop posting.

As for IM's amp, it wasn't until part-way into the fight, when Thor had already been trading blows with him. Just shows how weak Thor's lightning was, that it couldn't overload IM's armour.

Thor was dominating IM. He was breaking the armour by squeezing.

Stop ****ing posting.

I'm not even denying that Hulk might beat Thor, but you lack the objectivity and the brainpower to support him, your every post cripples any pro-Hulk argument.

Seriously, stop posting, you're terrible and you should feel terrible.

laughing out loud you're insane!

Hulk's feats simply surpass anything you can wank up for Thor.

It's sad that your butthurt is so great that you have to turn to wanking Thor so hard in order to make this a "debate" (though you do not debate so much as hurl insults).

Anyway, enough of your clowning around. Thor is vastly out matched here, as in most other formats.

In physical strength? Sure.

In power output, Thor has Hulk beat. Hulk had help from Tony (And at one point Thor) to destroy a single Leviathan. Thor took out three with one blast, and the Jotunheim smash is greater than any of Hulk's feats of power.

Also Thor can fly and manipulate the weather to ensnare his opponents, ala the Destroyer, aka something he was unable to do on board the Hellcarrier, but naturally that kind of truth is inconvenient for someone like you.

You've been downplaying Thor since the movie premiered. You're the guy who actually tried to sell that Thor was only Ironman level, and that IM's headbutt matched Thor's.

Seriously, you really should stop posting, you embarass yourself.

And I find it ironic that you claim that I haven't put forth any effort for debating and have just hurled insults, when this post of your's was nothing but you claiming Hulk wins, that Thor is a weak feeb, and insulting me.

Unlike you, I can provide points and counterpoints and generally debate while also insulting someone (And in my case, the people I insult are indeed dumb feebs smile ), unlike you, who apparently lacks the brain capacity for it.

I am smarter than you, is the point.

So did you actually see the Thor/Hulk fight?

Where Thor took Hulk on in melee and held his own for the fight?

I'm not going to say Thor would easily stomp Hulk, only an idiot would think either one of these two could effortlessly crush the other considering we clearly saw onscreen that that wasn't the case, but no, Hulk isn't stomping Thor.

Seriously, stop posting, I am doing you a favor by pointing out that you're a laughingstock, most of the people in this thread are just content to chuckle behind their keyboards at your expense.

Let me help you janus.

I'd give it to the Avengers by a small margin.
Thor and Hulk were evenly matched, so just adding on Iron Man and Captain America will slightly tip the favor.
Hawkeye and Black Widow can just go hang in a corner somewhere. They'll just get in the way.

Just watched the movie again today and good god how Hulk was manhandling Thor. The fight on the hellicarrier was just turning into another ragdolling exercise by Hulk. He was too fast for Thor, far far far too powerful and he literally ragdolled him with one-hand two or three times, just before the jet fighter opened fire on him.

Hulk decimates The Avengers, they're just not capable of fighting him.

Thor with an hugely amped lightning strike, only took out one flying mecha-fish monster, and that took a long time too... Not in Hulk's league, not by a long shot.

Good god, you Thor fans are delirious, no wonder Marvel's all but given up trying to humour you. Now Thor gets ragdolled across the media formats, animation (Hulk vs Thor/Asgard), Cinema (Avengers) and Comics (pick a comic, any comic, and Thor is getting KOed by someone or other).

If you watch the movie with an unbiased eye, you'll see that even the confrontation on the hellicarrier, though initially a "to and fro", quickly deteriorated for Thor into a fight for his life, as Hulk was grabbing him and slamming him and generally tossing him around. And Thor was feeling it mightily, having trouble getting up, looking very much like he was gonna go down any moment. The only thing that saved Thor from a Loki-style ragdolling there and then, was the jetfighter distracting Hulk.

Further, when Hulk was falling from 30,000 feet, he was wide awake all the way down, and the film states explicitly that he was awake when he fell (pay attention, not "whilst he was falling" but when he fell), he then transformed back to Banner.

And, during the final battle, Thor uses the building to charge up his lightning (basically as a battery to store more power than he could otherwise output) and that massive burst only slowly takes down ONE flying mecha-fish-monster.

Hulk casually one-shots one of them and drags down another then basically nails a third.

Well aren't you biased.

Thor was obviously humanely holding Hulk back in the helicarrier.
Did you forget the film Thor?
He took down the Destroyer in seconds.
Thor tried to reason with the Hulk. And his durability took everything the Hulk gave.
Do you really think Thor gave everything he could in that scuffle?
Considering with a blast he rendered the ground beneath him in Jotunheim a complete wave of destruction.
He couldn't do to the Chituari and Hulk in eother the Helicarrier or New York for it would've simply caused more destruction.
Thor spameed lightning bolts into soldiers yet he couldn't do it whilst in the helicarrier.

Get over it.

And in this fight It's the whole Avengers versus Hulk.

Thor gets Caps shield thrown to him for added beat down. Whilst Hawkeye blasts Hulk with exploding arrows.

Thor survived the fall no probs. Hulk was rendered unconscious. Deal with it.

lol @ desperate lies.

As I said, Thor fanboys are deluded.

Just as a sample of the lies you spun:
1) Thor didn't fall, he desperately escape the container and skimmed off the grass at a shallow angle. He was very panicked indeed.

2) The film states that Hulk was awake, your and the cretin's lies notwithstanding smile.

3) Thor wasn't holding back after the first punch, that's when he summoned mjolnir (after wiping bloodied nose), Thor simply wasn't strong enough to be fighting against Hulk. The fight progressed and Hulk just grabbed him and ragdolled him, until the jetfighter saved Thor.

4) The "Spammed lightning" was about as useful as Hawkeye's exploding arrows, no more no less. Thor needed to use that building in order to store up more power. Again, this is what the film depicts, not what you would like to believe smile.

Anyway, you guys are deluded. I've said my piece, other people will watch the film and see the scenes, and laugh at you guys like I laugh at you smile.

Keep smoking whatever it is you're smoking smile

F U Douchebag!

1- Thor blasted out of the cage into the soil like a freakin hero!

2- Yeah I'll take your lies with a commoner with a grain of salt!
Thor stood up up like a freakin champion!

3- Thor took his full force blow with slight restraint! Calling upon Hulk to gather his senses! Hulk took a cheap shot and hit noble Thor into the steel canisters!
And Thor still held Hulk at bay in the helicarrier! until a mortal could distract him away from it. A noble act puny morons could no doubt miss.

4- Are you saying Thor needed a building to cause his destructruction of the landmass in Jotunheim?
His ability to defeat the Destroyer Armor?

You surely jest.

I'll smoke what you smoke and watch you fall under the table little man.

You don't don't have the stones to defeat me in petty squabbling.

You do realize that the only times Hulk actually hit Thor were via cheapshot or whenever Thor wasn't on his feet? Everything else Hulk tries to throw, Thor dodges.

Let me enumerate incase you forgot:

Hulk throws 2 or 3 punches, Thor dodges.

Hulk throws overhand punch which Thor blocks, then as Thor tries to talk to him, Hulk punches him. - sucker punch 1

Hulk throws the wing of a plane at Thor... Thor dodges it again.

While Thor is choking Hulk, Hulk jumps up and smashes Thor against the ceiling. This is the first clean hit for Hulk, and yet he only does it while Thor isn't on his feet.

Hulk recovers first as he only should since Thor hit the ceiling first, Hulk then picks up Thor and slams him on the ground. Notice that AGAIN Hulk only gets to lay hands on Thor if Thor is not on his feet.

Right after the body slam Hulk throws Thor against the wall.

Near the end of the movie, Hulk again cheap shots Thor while Thor wasn't looking.

SO I don't see where you can conclude that Hulk was faster than Thor? He couldn't touch Thor unless he used cheap shots. And Thor took everything Hulk gave... and still wasn't badly injured. ON the other hand, Thor didn't give Hulk everything he got. He didn't even use his lightning yet. He also hit Hulk ONLY ONCE with Mjolnir and that hit clearly dazed Hulk. Hulk punched Thor twice and body slammed him twice and Thor got a slightly bloody nose for it.

I watched it again this weekend in High Def. One thing is for certain and cannot be argued against as it's fact.

Thor dove like a pansy from F-22 cannon fire. Not sure how he's ever going to live that down. Hulk tanked it only to turn around and make a "you ****ing serious with this nonsense, bro?" face.

Hulk also showed highly impressive reaction time with his arms/hands. Caught Mjolnir at a close distance and caught the ejecting jet-seat. Both pretty impressive.

Surfer is contractually obligated to job to any character whose name begins with the syllable "Th" sad.

That's where BRB ****ed up, he should have renamed himself Theta Ray Bill and then tried to fight Surfer.

Hulk got up faster (his recovery speed is much faster) and he grabbed Thor off the floor faster than Thor could react. Thor was constantly on the defensive even though Hulk was also on his back after slamming through the ceiling.

Also Thor never "choked" Hulk with mjolnir, not unless you think hanging onto mjolnir around Hulk's chest constitutes choking.

Hulk was a LOT faster than Thor, in combat.

Hulk got up faster because Hulk has fast healing and because it was Thor who hit the ceiling first. No one is arguing that Hulk is tougher than Thor. He recovers far faster from hits.

But faster? I think you missed the part where Thor was just ducking around Hulk's blows then? How would you explain that?

Also the fact that the only 2 punches that Hulk was able to land on Thor were via cheap shots?
