While Politician-Worship is a silly thing no matter who, a sitting President is likely able to implement more in their second term due to having done the groundwork in the first.
But yes, not holding my breath or expecting miracles.
im just glad that while obama was putzing around granting federal funds for fema disaster relief and flying to nj, mitt romney was selflessly devoting his time to gathering water and food that the red cross neither needs not wants in ohio, which just happens to be the most important swing state, and all this while 'suspending his campaign'.

Liberals ripping on Romney because he rolled up his sleeves and got in the trenches like a REAL American, selflessly doing the work that needs to be done; while thinking nothing of himself. Shame on you, sir.
You obviously can't campaign when you're collecting cans of baked beans and second-hand sweaters for those poor saps in the E. Coast while in Ohio. Simple logics and stuffs. Next time think before you hate.
Whats unrealistic about it? Being real with the people or hiding with the corporations?
Not I.
Difference between a Paul president and a Obamney president is that we will have someone who isnt a corporate puppet and that would inform the american citizens with what is causing our downfall. Decrease military spending and starting bringing back the troops. The status quo wouldnt have someone who helped create what is was like Obama in 2006 by voting for every spending bill.
Someone with actual history and a record of being against it rather than some goldman sachs cock sucker.
Highly doubt someone like Paul would be killing american citizens.
Edit: There would be different discussions about what matters instead of this dog and pony show we've been watching.

No that's not where I'm wrong. You're backed up by the people that put you in there in the first place. Paul supporters are very active and if by some miracle paul became president, it would make sense that they would continue to push for the things we believe in. Ending the wars and cut spending. Etc etc. Obama Romney voters are your typical media watching retards doing what the TV says and then going on about their day.
No, you're utterly and completely wrong. For Paul to get into the Oval Office he couldn't just rely on his Alex Jones watching supporters and their "Ron Paul! Ron Paul!" signs and rallies.
But hey, at least you do recognize it'd take a "miracle", kudos.
Edit: Also highly doubt Paul isn't dirty like the rest of them.
I don't believe Ron Paul is dirty. I do however believe that his views aren't in line with the majority of Americans and that his supporters (no matter how loud they yell) will never come close to being a majority.
If we had a less polarized system then it would be possible for Ron Paul and his fold to set out as a separate party and make some modest inroads in Congress and state legislatures. The party would be something of a wild card, siding with Republicans on most issues but siding with democrats on others. However, as it is, the only hope Paulites have is to attempt to change the Republican party from within. They've got their work cut out for them on that front.

Lol you keep changing the discussion. Firsy you said "You dont get to sit in the oval office" implying that we are talking about a scenario where hes in the office, now you're going back to a scenario where he isnt in office.
I don't see Ron Paul getting into office because I see a lot of dumb americans. Especially ones controlled by mainstream media. These are the majority of our population who actually vote. What does Alex Jones have anything to do with it? I don't even listen to the guy. You're not someone I take as serious when discussing this sort of thing.
Edit: It has nothing to do with Ron Paul, only the ideas he holds. Anyone with these ideas get excluded so the status quo remains. All of the third party candidates are discussing things the Repubs and Dems arent on their facade on sided "debates".

I find it hard to view my enemies as supervillains most of the time. I would tend to think both Obama and Romney think they are doing the right thing.
David Simon was talking about this on Bill Maher the other week, and I love David Simon. Anyways, basically, yes, all politicians have catch phrases that they throw out, but even with Paul, I never see the type of long term perspective on how and why the American economy is the way it is and what to change. Paul is better, for sure, but he rarely speaks about revitalizing the manufacturing sector or jobs programs or why the global market really has had a negative impact on American workers. I think one of the reasons why is that his policies actually support greater globalization and the same forces that have gutted the availability of labour jobs, but beyond that, its because there is no audience that wants to hear that.
You can't get elected talking about reality.
again though, that is your understanding of the financial crisis? Obama sucked the bankers dick?
he might delegate that power to the states though
I don't think there would be. The media decides what people talk about, and people tune in more for gaffes and partisan hackery than they do for nuanced discussion.
There's been no changing on my part, so what can't you follow? If Ron Paul (silly miracles aside) where to become President, it'd be because he did it the same way every other President in the last 50 years (likely more) did, by making promises to the people you hate, the "corporatist" or whatever you call them. You really don't think people become president just because they have 'X' amount of people more at their rallies, do you?
Now, now. Don't get so defensive and whiny and too big a head where you think everyone else is dumb and you're the one political genius who's in the know.
They are doing the right thing. For those who gave them the funds to get in that position to begin with. Its really not that hard to believe who comes first. You might be in denial.
So you admit we are being lied to by those who get elected?
the financial crisis is due to the federal reserve and this debt based system we live in. Keynsianism. Years of building up, war spending and bailouts and shipping off jobs overseas. Everything piles on.
Ill be back later to respond to whatever else is here, but im not trying to stay at work any longer. ****in gettin me some candy. Much better than dribble.
