Dialogue, intimidation, and look go to Neeson, as does acting. I couldn't really take Bane seriously. His mask and the muffled, hard-to-understand accent weren't that great of a portrayal. He came off feeling like a cheap saturday morning cartoon villain to me.
Neeson, on the other hand, looked and sounded perfect. He was comic Ra's personified. As far as intimidation, I'd rather have Bane after me than Ra's. Bane can be solved with a bullet, as Catwoman solved. Ra's seemed like the smartest villain in the series, which makes him more of a threat in my eyes. He gave off a sophisticated, 1-step-ahead feeling that it didn't feel like Bats could stop. He also didn't mind guns.
Action was better with Bane, but he's Bane. He'd better give Batman a few good fight scenes. Ra's ending sequence with Gotham tearing itself apart while Bats tried to stop him on the train outdid Batmans ending fight with Bane where Bane just gets blasted away by Catwoman. Banes first fight tied with it for me though, even though Batman was portrayed kind of idiotically. I liked Ra's overall plan a lot more than his daughter's too (which yes, Bane cant be blamed for, but he did take part).
Overall, Begins had a better story and a better villain. It almost comes close to TDK in that respect. Rises is significantly below both because of the villains, and the semi-retarded plot. It wins on action, but thats about it. TDK outdid it there too.
Yeah, well Superman is currently behind Spider Man and Iron Man, at least. No one would've predicted the latter would have this kind of standing a few years ago, but it's true.

Well going by Box Office figures like that Thor's pretty much on par with Superman at the moment. Although Batman would still be No.1, until proven otherwise.
Wrong. DC/WB in recent years gave us the hugely popular JL and JLU animations, 10 years of live action Smallville, the biggest solo superhero franchise ever with Nolan's Batman and now the hugely popular live action Arrow series as well as the box office smash Man of Steel movie franchise.
Saw this movie last night with my girlfriend and loved it, the after credits scene I was like 'oh yeah we're heading towards the ultimate showdown between the avengers and thanos'
Who says they will be forgotten? Wolverine was the most popular at one point, he is now just another superhero. That's what they will become. The classic legends are Superman, Batman, Spider-Man and to a lesser degree Hulk.
