You are aware there are 469 miles to hide in, and a MOAB can only destroy .88? Also, at most, the US gets a 15 mile flattening cluster bomb, as that's the most powerful weapon they had in Battle: Los Angeles. Again, the wizards have 454 miles they can teleport to to get away, so it's not gonna work.

Also, again, if airstrikes are allowed, potions are allowed as well. Airstrikes were not specified in the OP, and are clearly not standard equipment for an individual soldier, but are allowed here. Wizards must also get the same treatment, less you are a biased a$$hole. Otherwise, soldiers would be limited to their guns, since wizards would be limited to their wands.

You said "the military"; jets, helicopters, tanks, airstrikes are all part of the military. The "Army of One" commercials were a marketing slogan, it wasn't literal.

If you're going to 'adjust' the thread 20 pages in to just be "individual soldiers" with only their personal gear and nothing else, then you're simply trying to force a win for the side you want cos they lost and you know it.

Doesn't matter. even without potions, the military aren't going to win based solely on airstrikes, since at most they can cluster bomb a 15 mile radius and the wizards can teleport to anywhere in the 469 mile radius they want, even 300 miles away form the bombing.

I never said they don't have a limit but I think one bomb isn't their limit especially a reinforced Hogwarts shield we saw in the final film. The shields blocked hundreds of bolts from the wizards.

How do you or they know where the bombing is gonna be..?
IE lets just say they bomb a 300 mile area..
The Wizards are screwed again.

Optimus Prime and the Transformers* could be bought in to stomp em, also. They can teleport too, BTW. (Not that the TFS are needed, I just mentioned this for LOLZ)

*Shown being so tied in with the military that they featured in almost every Earth battle with the Decepticons.

They can't bomb a 300 mile area because that wasn't in Battle: Los Angeles.

Even if they did, there's still over a hundred and fifty miles to hide in. The wizards most definitely would not be screwed, unless you think L.A. is the size of Times Square.

I didn't see any Transformers in Battle: Los Angeles, and they don't teleport with near the ease that wizards do. Didn't poor little Sam get his hand broken during one of those ports?

I don't think any vs. matchup has a requirement of "fighting in character" unless otherwise stated by the OP. CIS/PIS is turned off in all fights unless the OP says it is on. Ethics/morals are off, too, at least in the MvF...again, unless the OP specifies otherwise.

These threads are simply one power set, as seen onscreen, vs. another powerset, as seen on screen.

Ah more gimping... so basically its a "The military cant do anthing I say they can't" situation eh? Well they probably lose then, as you just arbitrarily need that to happen for some reason. So of course they're gonna lose here no matter what then, with their hands tied in such a brutally gimped, downplayed situation. Oh well...

The movie itself gimped the US Military, actually. The movie would have been over at about 10 minutes in had they actually used all the technologies available to the US Military. That was one of my complaints about that film...and it almost ruined the film for me. Opposition that is built on horribly incorrect information almost ruins movies.

Remember the undelayed calls made in the movie Moon? Yeah...that was a huge downer for me.

Remember "no sound" in space in 2001: Space Odyssey? Yeah, that was major props to Kubrick. You can still have an accurate film with just a tiny tiny bit of more effort in writing.

Soapbox?

In that case maybe the thread should have been called "'EFLA Military vs..." Even then, you could argue that downplay and gimpery are in effect here.

'Cause just cause very well equipped party doesnt utilise something we know it to have onscreen, probably doesn't mean they cant.
IE We never see Han Solo eat, but we accept that he probably does/can.

To flagrantly insist that he cannot and will not and therefore may die, just to secure a win for his opponent is lame.

What I think is funny, is claiming that the US military only has enough bombs/missiles to destroy a 15 mile radius.

Quit crying. This isn't what you'd do in the military it's a fictional military meaning you only have the options they performed on screen. Wizards win either way but you crying out about it exposes your fanboyism.

They don't have superhuman durability, so if you're going to claim that they can tank a bomb, then the burden is on you.

I said the shield blocks the incoming force which you have acknowledged. You claimed they die. Prove the bombs easily destroy their reinforced shielding.
