Their M.O seems to be to release a garbled mess at the cinema then blame it on shitty editing and release an overpriced "director's cut" on blu-ray to try and get the same people who thought the cinema version was total shit to buy it.
And it works cos people are mostly idiots. It won't work for Justice League though.
That 1 film was Justice League Lol Of course the Shared Universe is dead.
Not premature at all.
I get that If Shazam does well you’re going to flaunt about how successful the DCEU is again. But what you’re not getting is that if Shazam works it will work with or without the DCEU.
It will take another 2 or 3 Wonder Woman Level successes within the DCEU for the DCEU brand to be reignited. As of right now though, it’s lying dead.
Yet, WB will put out more DC properties that is related to the DCEU. Nothing is ever dead in the entertainment industry. New directors will come in and help the shared universe and people will continue to see them.
I also get the feeling that James Wan will have more control over his film. He also tends to do well with all of his properties (Furious 7, Conjuring, etc...). I expect Aquaman to follow suit.
No, it wasn't. according to the Business Insider the overall cost of JL to make and market was 600 million.

I don't know why some of you are going on about being right and winning. Rob and Impediment were in on this gag because I PMed them. Silent and Rao PMed me and figured I changed the post. I highly doubt anybody thought Quan made the post, but simply played along just for the lulz.

Anything is possible, but i meant DC as a whole. Lately, it has been WB cash cow, and I don't mean just their movies. Wonder woman makes almost as much in merchandise as the Avengers. WB also just had one of their best games, in Injustice, and their tv shows are doing solid. Not to mention DC owned Marvel in comics, too last month. Doomsday Clock won top spot.
