Katarina gave a nod of agreement. She hated being told what to do but she would do it without complaining. She flashed passed the frozen elemental and appeared in front of the downed ceiling and phased herself through the debris and pulled the group to safety. They had minor injures but they would be fine.
Olli was ducking and dodging the remaining golems to the best of his abilities (which weren't really anything to brag about [but hey, it was keeping him alive]). There were several close calls. Especially when the familiar looking girl started to free the trapped people from the other side. He had to freeze flying boulders constantly seeing as the rock creatures seemed to unanimously decided to shoot all at the same time.
The rescued people were screaming and ducking. Unfortunately, that was bringing attention to them. Olli went into overgear. He froze two golems that were headed towards a couple. Once they stopped moving, Olli shouted for the couple to get out of the way. They scrambled to another side of the parlor just as the girl appeared with an older woman who looked like she was sleep and a younger guy. He was gripping his head and on his knees as if he was in a lot of pain.
"Alright, hero. You can handle it from here," Kat said with a smirk. She walked to two of the golems and lightly put her hands on them. "I'll take these two with me, though. Peace." With that, she flashed out of sight.
No sooner as the girl disappeared had all of the golems just seem to disintergrate. They all literally turned to dust and fell to the ground. Everything seemed deathly still and silent with the exception of everyone's heavy breathing.
Olli looked around and saw everyone staring in stunned awe. There was a guy holding a stool over his head as if he were going to bring it down on something. The couple he saved was huddled in a corner together, the girl's face was tightly pressed in the guy's chest. And the guy who was previously holding his head got up and looked around like he didn't believe they were safe. Olli didn't know if he believed it either.
"What the hell," the guy said as he looked at Olli. Olli simply shrugged his shoulders. He was just as confused. He took out the yellow and black comm-device Matt had gave him and pressed a button. "Uh, Matt? You know what's going on? Everything instantly just stopped. Are we safe?"
The older woman sleep-snorted as she turned over on the wet, dirty floor. She had no idea what was going on.

As the teens talked rescue vehicles started to arrive on scene, there was panic in the streets as people ran for safety not knowing what was going on, there where also people looting from broken down shops. "If you mean is there more Titans on scene then no, however there are the medical units and police that will need help getting the chaos under control," she explain now holding her brother in her arms. "When you're finish head for the bay area and look for a "T" shaped building, you'll be able to find us there.
"Uh, Matt? You know what's going on? Everything instantly just stopped. Are we safe?"
Olli's voice comes from a Athena' pocket, she pulls out her communicator and holds the button down. Matt is down I'm heading to the tower to threat him. Sorry but you're going to have to find your own way back." Athena says before putting the device back in her pocket.
Drakon enters the field slowly while eating an apple. "Sorry I'm late I had some business to attend to but it seems you didn't need my help after all." Drakon looks around the field seeing a the damage the city withstood. "But if you could next time how about keeping city damage to a minimum ok."
"If you mean is there more Titans on scene then no, however there are the medical units and police that will need help getting the chaos under control. When you're finished head for the bay area and look for a 'T' shaped building, you'll be able to find us there."
Clive acknowledged this with a simple nod just as the girl flew off with her brother. He went to work right away assisting the authorities and EUs, addressing them only to ask how he could help, and he did so accordingly.
A couple of hours had passed, and it was declared fairly that his work was done. Clive retreated to the bayside where he entered the city earlier, remembering the "T" building he had passed by previously. He took his time getting there, having next to no energy left. It was unfortunate considering he now had no way of clearing the water. He sighed heavily with this realization.
"I guess I'll be getting wet." He dove forward into the blue attempting to rebuild his energy. He strolled onto the shore of the lone island, rolling his shoulders as he approached the... door? There where no clearly present doors, but he thought to knock on the obvious front anyhow. His action, however, was paused by a sudden realization.
The girl may have still been healing her brother, so he didn't wish to interrupt. Plus, he was to tired to engage in a conversation. He simply lowered himself down, placing his back to the tower. He lowered his head and waited for whatever came next. Be it an address or sleep, he was eager for both, and would except either.
It turned out I was too late. Funny, that. I leave for five minutes and things go crazy, and it's all resolved by the time I get back. I guess that just proves how good my team mates are. Even most of the rubble had been cleared out, so I was no use to the authorities when I finally arrived on scene. I asked what happened, and got only panicked half answers in return. I turned my back, and head home, for the first time in a while. Athena would give me answers. If she let me back in.
Vex landed from his jump with such force that he ricocheted off the ground, landing much more softly some feet away. He turned and winced slightly at the man sized crater he had left. Definitely out of practice. Even so, his aim had been perfect. Right outside the tower. Now then, the roof or the door? Just as Vex was contemplating, he saw a shape propped against the wall of the tower. A boy, roughly his own age, was sitting there.
"Well, you're a new face. Are you my replacement?" Vex's tone was light-hearted. He gestured at the tower. "Can't find a way in?"
Olli stared blankly at the comm device for a moment before he was onslaughted with questions from the saved group.
"What the hell were those things?"
"Where did they all go?"
"How did you freeze them all like that?"
"Yeah. Are you one of the Titans? I bet he's a Titan."
"Where are they at, anyways?"
"What made those things?"
"Who was that girl that was just here? Was she a Titan, too?"
"What are we supposed to do now?"
Olli couldn't answer most of the questions because he, himself, wanted to know the very same things. But he did ask what he could.
"Well, I don't know where those rock creatures came from or where they went but I don't think they'll be back any time soon. Then again, I don't know. I'm not a Titan."
The group looked more than a little disheveled at this revelation. One of the girls present stepped forward, "But we saw you make those monsters stop moving. All you did was flick your hand at them and they stopped what they were doing."
A look of reluctant acknowledgement crossed Olli's face. "Yeah. Its something I've been able to do for a while." He rubbed the back of his neck as he felt his nerves tighten. He didn't know what he should or shouldn't say in situations like this. He was new to this kind of thing.
"Guys, instead of questioning him, don't you all think that we should probably go find some help for the ones that are hurt?"
Olli looked to the guy who had pretty much got the attention off of him. It was the same guy who was holding his head earlier. Olli walked around the people near him and went over to the guy. "Are you hurt," he asked as he bent down to look at his head.
"No, I'm fine," the boy answered. "But one of my friends got hurt in the earthquake and this woman..." he pointed to the sleeping lady, "...she fainted. We need some help."
No sooner as the boy said that did the sirens of emergency vehicles sound away in the distance and getting louder by the seconds. Olli got up and ran out of the parlor to flag the first ambulance he saw.
As the EMTs got out, Olli told them that there were two people down in the pizza parlor that need immediate attention. As they raced in, Olli started back towards Matt's super car. Athena said he was hurt and that Olli would have to get back to the Tower by himself. He wanted to make sure that Matt was okay and he also didn't think it was a good idea to leave his super car out in the open.
As he headed that way, the boy Olli was just speaking with rushed out. "Hey! Hey, wait up." Olli turned around to see the boy sprint towards him. "Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for helping us back there. You know, even though you're not a Titan."
"Oh. Sure. It was the right thing to do."
"And I also want to apologize for my friends attacking you with all those questions."
"Oh, that? Nah, its okay. People have a strange tendency to ask a lot of questions when spooked."
The other boy smiled at this. "Maybe, but my friends are just really nosy. Never mind that you pretty much saved their lives, they just want to know how you did it."
Olli felt that strange nervousness starting to come back and it forced him to let out a nervous chuckle. "Yeah. Well, I really have to go."
"Oh, yeah. Of course," the boy responded. "And you don't have to be nervous about my friends telling anyone about you. I'll make sure they keep their mouths shut about you."
Olli looked squarely at the boy surprised that he would say something like that.
"The boy seemed to understand his expression and smiled again. "You're not the only one with...skills. By the way, my name's Christian."
Olli just stood there staring at Christian. He didn't know why he was slightly surprised at the fact that he met another person with powers. "What, you're a psychic, too," was all he could manage to ask.
"Christian shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. I can sense and mess with other people's emotions. I can't read their minds or anything. But I can place emotion-based illusions in someone's mind to make them feel the emotion that way."
"Uh-huh," was again all Olli could muster. He realized just how tired he was at that moment and all he wanted to do was go drop Matt's car off and then get some sleep. Although, he was pretty sure that that was going to be an issue seeing as Matt wouldn't be able to take him home. He might have to sleep at the Tower. That might be fun.
"Hey, man. Are you alright," he heard Christian ask him.
Olli nodded, "Sorry. I'm just really tired."
"Yeah. I know. Well, I know you have to get somewhere. I just wanted to thank you for your help and apologize for my friends. It was nice to meet you...," Christian held out his hand towards Olli.
"Oliver. My name's Oliver," Olli said as he shook Christian's hand. "But I much rather be called Olli."
"Well, then, Olli. I'll let you get back to your own business. I'm sure my friends could use some help back there. See you around."
"Hey, Christian? Do your friends know about your powers?"
Christian shook his head. "I never felt inclined to tell them. It's not something that just rolls off your tongue, is it?"
"I guess not," Olli replied. "You have a phone on you?"
"Sure."
"Well take my number down. In case you ever want to talk about hiding your powers or anything like that. I know from personal experience how hard it can be having that kind of secret."
After they exchanged numbers, they went their separate ways. There was a lot of damage done to the area but Olli could tell it was going to take some serious money to fix everything. But still, it didn't look as bad as a could have considering the earthquake and hurricane force winds about 45 minutes ago.
Along the way back to Matt's car, Olli helped as best he could but he quickly realized that there wasn't much he could do as the police and emergency workers were already handling things pretty well. That wasn't a shock considering Jump City was often a super power battle ground in the past. Everyone probably was expecting something like to to happen sooner or later.
When he reached Matt's super car, he quickly slid in and let out an exasperated sigh. What a night, he thought to himself. He tried to turn the car on but found that there were no keys or an ignition slot. Luckily, there was a "START" button. He pressed that and the car sprung to life. Buttons were lit all over the dashboard and it overwhelmed him in record time. He shook his head and drove towards the Tower.
When he made it to the bay, he forced himself to push the button Matt did to turn the car into a flying machine. As he and the car careened towards the Tower, he was screaming the entire way. He was eternally grateful that flying it and driving it was pretty much the same.
He didn't land gently. But he did think he did a good enough job considering it was only his first time flying it. Also, he didn't remember where the entrance was for the car so he just hopped out and locked the doors. As he made his way to the front entrance of the Tower, he heard talking. He recognized the voice and saw the guy who was at his job when that girl was stealing from his job.
He he made his way to him, he saw that he was talking to someone else. He also remembered that he and the guy hadn't been properly introduced. He hope the guy wouldn't think he was an intruder or anything and slowly walked over to the two.

"That, and I didn't want to intrude. She may still be healing her brother. I'd rather not bother them seeing as I have no way to help." Clive answered in a soothing tone, but his voice was noticeably weary. He barely bothered to look up to respond to this inquiry. "And no, I'm not replacing you. I'm not even sure what role you play," Clive reassured jokingly.
Athena was in the med bay with her brother, he was hooked up to a few machines that monitored his conditions, one of the machines seemed to be stabilizing the electrical current running through his body. Matt had took a strike that would have killed a normal person a hundred times over, however thanks to his ability to absorb the lightning he would survive, though he seemed to have a fever. Athena sighed at her brother and would have smacked him on the back of the head if he wasn't unconscious, she told him to not fight until she got there.
The psychic could sense the gathering outside the tower and was surprised to find Vex was among the visitors, she walked to the console in the med bay and pressed the intercom button.
"Hey,guys...come in. Vex will show you to the common area, I'll be there in a moment."
With that said the front doors would begin to open allowing the others inside the tower without tripping the security system. Athena turned to the robot nurse who was assisting her with Matt, "Serena, monitor Matt and alert me if anything changes," the titan commanded. The robot Serena seemed to jerk to life, "as commanded booger face Athena." The robot said with no trace of humor, obviously Matt programmed her to say that. Athena let out a small grr then walked away, she had a lot on her mind right now. Her team was scattered and she lacked the loyalty of the remaining Titans, of course it was her fault, but what could she do to gain their respect.
Vex chuckled. "Strength is kinda my thing. Ah, it's you." he said, noticing Olli's hesitant approach. Vex recognized him from his encounter with the thief some time back. "Your first time here as well, I take it? My name is - " "Hey,guys...come in. Vex will show you to the common area, I'll be there in a moment."
Vex sighed, and pointed up at the building. "My name is Vex," he finished unnecessarily. "Come on in."
The common area was situated at the top of the tower. It gave a spectacular view of the city, and also housed a massive computer system, a wall sized tv, couches, and even a kitchen area on the far side. Vex sat on his favourite part of the sofa set and flicked on the tv. On the screen were images of the attack.
"So what happened here?" he asked, looking over at Olli and Clive and gesturing towards the slideshow.
Olli followed Vex and the other guy in. He didn't feel the need to tell Vex that this wasn't his first time at the Tower. Actually, all he wanted to do was see how Matt was doing.
*Athena, how's Matt? Is he okay?* Olli still wasn't use to just thinking at someone but he was getting pretty good at doing it. It was funny the things he was learning spending time with almost-super heroes.
As Vex led the two guys to the common area and flicked on the TV, he asked what happened in the city.
Before the other guy could answer, Olli let loose. "Oh my GOD, what DIDN'T happen? Everything was all normal one minute: I was hanging out with Matt getting caught up on everything seeing as I haven't spoken to anyone here in the past two weeks and the next thing we know is that Hell is breaking loose. There was a TOTALLY random earthquake, a monsoon, probably a hurricane and then these rock-like creatures erupted from the ground and started attacking everybody. The nobody had any time to react to anything and a lot of people got hurt. I helped this older couple and then almost died saving a pizza parlor full of people from those things with the also random help from that girl who was stealing from my job a month ago. Then they all just disappeared and everything stopped like nothing happened except for the downtown area looking like a disaster area which is going to cost MILLIONS to fix and take a lot of time which is bad because my favorite restaurant is down there and more than likely destroyed."
Once Olli finished his ramble, he let out a heavy sigh and flopped down on the couch. "Okay. I'm done. You can go, now, stranger," he motioned to the other guy.

"You... summed it up?" Clive was slightly befuddled be the immense detail in which this co-stranger had described the experience. He would not recount his own exploits in the same manner, given that they were on display before them."I really have nothing to add. I'm not sure what happened, myself," he stated looking from the screen between the two of them.
He hadn't the enthusiasm to put any real effort into his words. Between combat and rescue efforts, he was, needless to say, drained. The widespread panic certainly didn't help, as it only served to drain him further during such time. This was part of what made heroism so hard for him. Being surrounded by fear or hate heavily debilitated him to points such as this.
Without another word, he fell long ways onto the emptiest spot on the couch believing that no one would mind. He didn't think he would get his needed rest, but he would try make do for the time being. He had a feeling he would be debriefed momentarily, but until then, he would simply close his eyes, lay his head to the side against the back cushion, and drift off.
Athena was on her way to the others when she felt someone trying to reach her mind, it was odd, Oliver was surprisingly good at using the telepathic link, the others either didn't feel comfortable using it or just didn't use it until Athena did. **He's fine for now but he has a fever.** She says mentally as she walked into the common room. Athena walked to the front of the room and swiped her hand in front of the large monitor turning the TV off. "As you all know this was an attack on the city most likely caused by this one woman," she says then a picture of the woman comes on the screen. "Fortunately Matt was recording before he went down," Athena said flicking her hand to play the recording. She didn't bother to wake the sleeping new comer since he looked so peaceful.
The video was at the point of view of Matt while he flew above the city, it looked as if he was using a blue filter but it was the shield that was protecting him against the wind and rain. A woman would come into view standing on the edge of a tall building, the woman seemed to ignore Matt but suddenly a bolt of lightning struck Matt, the video seemed to black out for a second before coming back on. Matt seemed to recover and strike back with his own lightning but it was redirected to the lightning rod on the building, the woman seemed to say something but the wind and rain were too loud to hear then a large flash of light hit Matt and caused the video to black out again then the video ended.
Athena didn't look as if the video bothered her, however her hand was curled in a fist and if you were to get close to her you would feel a psychic pressure that might floor you.
"The woman in the video is an ex-member of the Justice League formally known as Elemental Girl, unfortunately that's all the information I could find." She says waiting for questions.
When Athena played the video, Olli saw it sideways on account of how he was laying on the couch but he wouldn't forget it any time soon. He winced both times Matt was struck by lightening, unaware that his new friend had power over lightening but deeply relieved at that fact. He sat up and looked from person to person?
"An ex-Justice Leaguer? What the heck did she do to get kicked out of the League?" He scratched his head. "Never mind. Stupid question. What I should have asked is why the heck would she randomly attack a city?
"I mean- yeah, okay. There's a giant T-shaped building in the middle of the bay that houses a group of super-powered kids but for all she knew, that building could have been empty. Which, by the way, it was for some years. And I'm pretty sure that word hasn't traveled that fast that a new group of teens is now calling that building home.
"Unless someone told her."
If there was a soundtrack playing in the background, an aptly-timed "DUN DUN DUUUUUUN" would have sounded.

Red X walks into the common room, past the couch where everyone sat. He gives a nod to Athena and looks up at the display showing off their latest to the rogues gallery before continuing over to the fridge. Opening the door, he reaches in and grabs a can. X closes the fridge and leans against the counter, popping the top while adding, "Elemental Girl, huh? She come up with that all by herself?" His sarcasm was obvious, but his voice also sounded tired, despite the distortion from the suit. He raises the can to Ollie, further acknowledging the youth, and remains there, waiting to hear more.

An ex-Justice Leaguer? What the heck did she do to get kicked out of the League?" He scratched his head. "Never mind. Stupid question. What I should have asked is why the heck would she randomly attack a city?
"I don't know all the details yet but I will be doing some digging, I'll have to give one of my connections to the Justice League a call. But that is a good point, what was this person after, what did she accomplish..."Athena says trailing off. Many criminals just liked to send messages letting the public know they were never truly safe, however some just want to watch the world burn. "Could have been a diversion," she said out loud.
"No I don't believe she was after us or else why not just attack the tower, she wanted to put on a show, hints the massive amount of destruction to the city..." Athena was trying to piece fragments of information together, she was a pretty smart teen but she was no Batman.
Athena returned Red's nod with a glare that would slice right through is cool guy act, she was giving the guy a chance to prove his worth and instead of doing so he vanishes when they needed him. "And what did you do, hit the randomize button on a search engine, where did you slink off to?" Her voice was firm but sounded young. Athena sighs, she could tell everyone was exhausted and so was she and at the moment she just wanted to see how her brother was. "Alright, we can talk more later, for now everyone get rested, I have a feeling that this was only the start of something yet to come."
The teen looks to Olli and Clive, "You guys are welcome to take up a vacant room on the east wing or just sleep on the couch, it is quite large. Also, there is a phone in the kitchen if you need to make a call." She says pointing to the phone, she knew that Oliver still lived with his parents and wouldn't want them to worry if he didn't return home.
Olli didn't argue about staying the night as that was what he had intended to ask. He was silently glad that he didn't have to ask in the first place as he didn't want to bother anyone with something trivial like sleeping arrangements. He started thinking that maybe the sleep was getting to him as even the logic he was thinking was a bit flawed but he shook it off.
When Athena mentioned the phone, his cell phone rang. He pulled it out of his pocket and saw that it was his mom. He answered it right away and was greeted with an onslaught of questions from his mother. She yelled to his dad that she was on the phone with Olli and he heard the man in the background ask for the phone.
"Dad, I'm okay. I was downtown with a friend when everything happened but I'm okay....I'm actually staying at their place for the night seeing as there's a lot going on....I figured it would be safer....I couldn't really answer my phone then because I was trying to get to safety and help people anyway I could....No, I'm not hurt. Just really tired....My friend'll be okay....He's...sleep. He got into a little trouble when we were out there, but he'll be fine....I was just about to call you guys when my phone rang...Yeah, I'll be home as soon as I can tomorrow....Yeah, love you guys, too. And tell mom to stop crying. I'm okay....Alright. Goodnight."
He let out yet another relieved breath but immediately because embarrassed that he just had that conversation in front of everyone. He got up, not looking at anyone. "I guess I don't need to use the phone." He cleared his throat. "I think I'll go claim a room now." He walked out of the common area looking down at his feet.
He felt stupid for being embarrassed but couldn't keep from feeling that way. He chucked it up to excessive fatigue and headed for the east part of the Tower. He would feel better in the morning and see Matt then. For now, he needed sleep.

Red X looks at Athena carefully as she dismisses everyone. Something had gone wrong, that much was obvious, and since Tech was nowhere to be seen, it seemed a safe bet it involved him. Athena's glare was harsh, but he was too tired to care how she felt about him. He had his own leads he was following. Still, he thought to himself, should probably stick around for the next mission.
"And what did you do, hit the randomize button on a search engine, where did you slink off to?"
He gave the girl a shrug in reply. He'd talk to her later, when there weren't a bunch of new faces around, and followed Ollie out of the common room.

Clive woke just as the group was being dismissed. He hadn't been out long, he picked up on energies that mildly reenergized him. Said energy was tense, and it was not something he enjoyed feeling, much less running on it.
Before his eyes had time to fully open, he was passed by the source of most of the residual tension. It was the girl he had first encountered earlier. She did not appear to be, but she was emitting what was mostly anger with an undertone of sadness.
As she adjourned, Clive soon followed loosely. He would give her a few minutes beforehand so he could have a decent chance to actually get back up as well as just giving her some space for a moment. He retraced her energy to the med bay door before gently knocking.
'So who's under the mask this time?' thought Vex as he watched Red X leave. He had sat through the debriefing without making a sound, taking in Athena's words. It was a mystery, to be sure, and Vex was not interested in wracking his brains. One thing did stand out, though. Seeing everyone leave, Vex decided to bring it up with Athena later. A visit to the gym was more desirable at the moment. He stood up, and walked out the opposite way to everyone else.
Athena headed to the medical wing to check on Matt, she could sense she was being followed but she just kept levitating onward, her brother was the only one that she wanted to see right now. The teen floated to Matt's side where Serena the robot nurse was monitoring his condition. "Has he woke up?" she asked. Serena the robot seemed to come alive when Athena spoke, "Yes, once and he asked for you, Booger face Athena." Serena replied. The teen gave a smile and a wave of relief washed over her, "You're such a goof." she says lightly.
