Nova's hand rose to take hold of Snow's wrist. She pulled the hand down from her mouth and let only their faces near each other. Nova's eyes stared with unknown intent into Snow's, the difference despite their attitudes was their temperature. Nova's eyes had a strong fire in them, one that would not so easily be put out by cool and calm words. This meant little in the grand scheme of things of course, as Nova was hot enough at that moment to burn through a ten-foot thick steel vault door without any hesitation. This heat wasn't directed anywhere, but could easily be felt. It was either some means of intimidation against the lower temperature ice girl or... It had something to do with her highly flushed face.
Nova didn't let this shake her and instead looked ahead into Snow's eyes with almost a tingling feeling running through her hand. "Was that all..?" Nova said with her lips in a slight smirk.

Snow blinked once as Nova asked if that was all she had. She looked to the others briefly before back to Nova. No. As soon as her words left her pale pink lips there came a sudden gust of freezing air from below them. They were both inside a blue ring of ice, the frost melting from the heat and growing back rapidly after each time. Snows hair rose up with the pressure of air as it shot over them. Her eyes began to glow a bright blue and the blowing air began to drop in temperature rapidly making even Snows body start to frost over. The cold that radiated from her was so intense that Techs Nano suit would be in danger of freezing components.

X's eyes widen again as the hothead and ice queen start asserting their influences. He could feel the heat and the cold, and he was the farthest away from the group. "This isn't gonna end well," he says quietly before shouting out to them, "Hey ladies, you are aware of what happens when you mix hot and cold air, right?" As if on cue, he could feel the wind picking up in the area. He jumps out to an outcropping of rock and crouches behind it. He had a feeling he would have to move again if they didn't settle down, but for now he'd probably be safe. Probably.

Athena felt a bit awkward watching the two girls fight, she didn't know if she should be watching this. Matthew however was enjoying the show and made sure to record it so millions online could as well. Athena finally cleared her throat to get Nova's attention, "So does that conclude the training for the morning or did you two want to continue this in private?" She said not trying to be sarcastic.

Nova's intensity is suddenly killed by Athena's blunt mouth. Her attention turned from Snow; releasing her. She then turned her glare on Athena and approached her with hostility at a slow paced step. "Class dismissed", she spoke aloud to the group before stepping before Athena. Nova was clearly in no mood to be trifled with now. Though she understood the delicate balance that a team needs to uphold in respecting its head, she had little patience for the smart mouth of their leader considering all the faults that Nova could target inside her in a heartbeat.
As she watched the arrogant looking female, Nova's eyes became a flicker with the fire not of passion that she glared on toward Snow with but with anger. She thought of the many ways that she could silence the irritating voice from the yappy mouthed drama queen. A squeeze of the throat till it breaks asunder, a flicker of flame across her brow to burn the face nova found so ugly, even as simple as a strike to the face-- anything that dealt with damaging the head; else she come back as a zombie and be that much more irritating.
Nova turned a shoulder to Athena with flaring knuckles and again, stepped her by. Though the fiery girl had such issue with Athena, she'd not give her ammunition to use against her. When Nova killed Athena, it would be in self defense. Even so... She awaited the day for that to happen oh so finely.
A little later, just off the field...
Nova walked from the training field now out of sight. Her fists were flaring with fire trembling from her knuckles, as if a spark had lit her ablaze. i hate her!, Nova thinks aloud. That woman, Athena, she pressed her at every corner! She read her mind, invaded her thoughts, she mocked her, interrupted the few moments of enjoyment she could find at this over zealous tower of adolescence. Nova didn't trust her, she hardly made for a leader despite how she made out to be one. Nova's fist struck the ground and watched as it sparked a fire before dying out moments later, she thought of how an untrained monkey could have done Athena's job better. A monkey might throw its waste at you, but at least it wouldn't lie and act like it was doing it for your sake.
Witch.. Nova thought before disappearing into the shadow of the tower.

The air calmed back down around them as Nova let her go. She watched as Nova glared to Athena and walked away. Snow seemed to frown softly as Nova left and with a glance to Athena she followed after Nova, watching from the shadows. Her brow furrows as she watched in silence and when she glanced back to where they had come from Nova disappeared. Snow flinched at her carelessness at losing Nova. Snow came out of the shadows and took one look around before she seemed to sigh. A circle of ice formed under her as she began to port to her room.

Athena stood her ground when the firebrand got in her face, she rather have peace between them and was not opposed to stepping back from conflict but she was not afraid of it and she was not intimidated but Nova. Athena met Nova's gaze unflinching and the stare down seemed to last forever but Nova finally backed off and went to the other side of the island. The psychic sighed she knew she was some what bossy and a bit arrogant, because she had read the others mind's and it seemed to be a common factor. She was trying to become a better leader but it was difficult, it was different then just looking out for Matt, Katarina, and herself but she knee with enough time she could grow into the position. Somehow she would have to make things right with Nova but today was most likely not the day.
Matthew stood by Athena silently and wished that the two girls got along cause he was going to flip his lid soon if this drama kept up for too much longer. "Glob I need a soda..." Tech said before taking flight like a rocket.
Athena took a deep breath and readied herself for another headache. She floats over to the rock that X is hiding under and waits for a moment, she lifts the rock exposing the boy in the mask. "Do you have any plans for today?" She asked nonchalantly.

"Whoa!" X exclaims as the rock he'd been using for cover suddenly shuddered and was ripped from the ground, hopping off it to land at the edge of the break and look at Athena. "A bit more warning next time, goddess" he says before answering her, "Well, looks like I missed out on the group effort. You got something in mind?" He stepped away from the newly formed hole in the ground in case Athena planned to put it back, turning out to look across the water at Jump City. He notices Nova a ways off, apparently letting off some steam, and also sees Snow shadowing her. They were an interesting, and dangerous, pair.

Olli tossed the remote on the table and let out a long, exasperated sigh. He was bored. His parents were at work and wouldn't he home for the rest of the day. How could they punish me like this, he thought to himself as he hopped to the kitchen to make himself another sandwich. His leg had swollen pretty big but he was determined not to let that hinder him from getting around the house.
After making his sandwich, he hopped back to the living room, grabbed just one crutch and made his way back upstairs, silently cursing himself for not having his video game console downstairs. His room was mostly clean for a guy. There were shoes and gaming discs scattered about the room and his desk was a clutter of various papers that he didn't even remember. And sitting on top of them was the com device to contact the Titans.
He sat his plate on his unmade bed and let his crutch slip from under his shoulders and fall to the floor. He made his way over to his desk and picked the small, yellow and black object up. It looked like an offspring of the old school walkie-talkies that he had when he was 8 years old and used to play with with his dad. He flipped it over in his hands and studied it as best he could. There was only two buttons on the thing and he figured at least one of them were for talking.
He sat the thing back down and headed to his TV. After turning the game system on and making himself comfortable on his bed, he started to wonder what the Titans were doing. Were they out there fighting some superpowered bad guy? Conversing with aliens? Exploring long lost cities?
Then he remembered Athena telling him they would be training in the morning. He would have loved to see how super heroes trained. He didn't think that they did the standard push-ups or crunches. He knew they had a special training room in the Tower thanks to his tour from Matthew. But he wondered what they actually looked like training.
He saw the fire girl and her fierceness in their battle with that bank robber and he remembered the quiet girl with the ice powers who almost took him out on the roof of his job with her ice spikes. He knew Athena possessed psychic powers and Matthew told him he worked with technology. He knew nothing about the guy is the black and red costume he saw last night but he looked like he was sort of tough. Olli guessed he had to be seeing as the guy wore a skull as a mask.
So he came up with all kinds of thoughts of how the group of heroes looked aas they were practicing. Did they look like the adventure game he was playing? Did they work together or did they have their own ways of training? He didn't know. But he smiled slightly at the thought of himself training with them at the invitaion of Athena. But what excuse could he use to actually call them?
He didn't want to bug them if they were in the middle of taking out some dude who was threating the world. That would be bad. So he decided that he would just wait. On what? He didn't know. But what was that saying: All good things come to those who wait. With that thought firmly in his mind, he continued playing his game, alone in his house, bored out of his mind.

Matthew was tinkering away in his work shop starting on the death cannon that Nova wanted and by the time he was done it was going to make the watch towers weapon look like a light show, that was the idea anyways. He quickly got uninspired and looked at his new communicator and then had an idea. Tech packed his work in progress away and his nano bots crawled back underneath his street clothes, Tech was sort of beautiful with a lean body but he was a bit on the girl side as well and needed to work out so he would get all the ladies, at least that was what he though. Tech went to his black and yellow car and prepped it for uses, inside he starts the car with his mind and the engine roars, the sound gave Tech goose bumps each time, he truly loved his power and would not change the fir the world.
Athena ignored the goddess comment, being named after one had it's draw backs, she really didn't like the nickname but she supposed that X that it was cleaver. "Yeah, I need you to hang out with Tech, he's always around me and doesn't have any guy friends and I think he could use another male to bond with...of coarse you don't have to if you don't want to but I believe that befriending Tech is your best bet at starting to gain trust on the team. That's just my opinion of course and you can choose to do what you want with it." Athena said then set the rock back in it's place. Athena almost sighed at the thought of trust, she didn't even have the trust of the one she intended to be her right hand and her second in command. Nova was perfect for the job and Athena acknowledged her strength but there was something that the psychic did not account for when she recruited Nova, she absolutely positively hated Athena.

X watched as Nova stormed back to the tower and Snow melted away before turning back to look at Athena. He looks at the girl for a moment, noting her appearance, the look in her eyes as she concentrated on returning the stone. He wondered how long until she started to show the strain of keeping a group together. If she could get everyone to see past their emotions. "I get the feeling we all need to work on that part," he replies as he walks towards the tower, passing by Athena and adding, "I'll see what Tech's up to, but not because of you."
The walk back in was uneventful, but he didn't make it up to the common area, hearing an engine starting up. He makes his way over to the garage, spotting Matthew in his car. "Now where is he off to?" he mutters to himself before stepping closer and waving a hand at the boy to get his attention over the sound of the engine.

Matthew was about to take off as the garage doors open but out of Matt's rear view mirror could see Red. With his powers he tells the car to roll back until Red is at the side of the car, the door pops open for the masked teen. "Gonna hang out at a friends house wanna come?" Matthew asks, he hadn't thought to call ahead to see if it was okay with Oliver but that was Matthew's style, don't sweat the small stuff.

Red looks at the boy for a moment, noticing how the car's ignition slot is noticeably lacking keys. His casual use of his power gave him mixed feelings: some respect at his comfort with it, but also some concern towards his skill under duress. He'd find out eventually though, likely, so he shrugs and opens the car door, slipping inside as he says while closing it, "Sure, why not? This friend got a name?"

Snow appears in her room right beside her bed. She thought that with Training over she could get an hour or two more of sleep. She crawls forward upon the bed and falls upon her chest, face into her pillow. She began to ponder about where Nova had disappeared to and if she was okay or if she was just angry at everything. She compared the fire girl to herself. They seemed complete opposites. Nova was of Fire. Heated all the time and if she thought about physics heated molecules tend to move faster then normal. Perhaps that was why she was so passionate about what ever she does. Then herself was Ice. Frozen all the time. Her emotions always locked away, though one could argue that was from her upbringing. She always got what she wanted from her father as long as she stayed quite and out of the way. She thought about it more. She would tell her nanny about something she liked and the nanny would leave a message for her father and the next day or two it would be on her bed. Her brow furrowed slightly as she started to compare her old family with this new one. There was no perfect family here. There was no obedience. No easy flow to things. There was arguing. Rivalry..
It made her smile.

Tsss~ The sizzling sound, a sensation of heat burns through the ice works of Snow's cold room. It was as if someone had managed to turn up the heat in the house enough to melt away at Snow's ice covered room. Though it was not intentional-- Nova stood at the door, inside of the room rather then out, with her back to the wall of ice made by Snow as a replacement door. Her fist reached back to give a tap at the ice, like that of a knock. The sound fills the room. Knock, Knock, Tssss~! Without meaning to, the ice door began to melt as well. Nova looked embarrassed on the matter. Her face was red about her nose and she sweat as she took light breaths. She turned to face Snow before approaching, though she only walked, she seemed to cross the room at a fast pace as before she knew it, she was standing next to the bed with her arms wrapped around her. It was... hot?
Nova looked at Snow carefully and seemed to be unable to find what she wanted to say. "What.. is this...?" She questioned. "Why do I have this weird feeling?" Nova continued to pursue her line of questioning, hoping that Snow will have an answer for her. Despite the affect of the cold room on her body, Nova's own skin radiates a large amount of heat that acts counteractive to Snow's cold. It is not enough to melt the room, but enough to melt parts of the ice away.

Snows eyes snap open as she feels the difference in temperature. The rise in heat around her. She slowly began to lift her head when she heard the knock, getting up to get the door, when Nova spoke and she turned her head quickly to look upon the girl. Snow looked at her with a questioning gaze as she slowly stood up, mere inches from Nova. Her face began to heat up as she stared at those fire filled eyes and her heart which usually beat slow due to her low body temp began to beat faster making the rest of her body begin to warm too. Nova was IN her room. Her eyes shifted around, looking for the fire that she had dreams about before she looks into Novas eyes again and she slowly smiles. One who is always cold naturally seeks the heat. One who is always hot naturally seeks the cold. She slowly reaches up to put an icy hand to Novas cheek. And we are the embodiment of these forces. Her voice was low. A whisper. Her face becomes even more red as she leans forward. I've had dreams... It was the last thing she said before her lips went out to meet with Novas.

Nova's eyes became wide and a bit hazy as she felt Snow's lips come toward hers. She was shivering, a cold feeling perhaps. More then that. Nova's lips brushed with the slightest touch against Snow's. Nova's eyes closed and her hands rose, taking hold of Snow. This worked to steady the two bodies; as if they were holding each other up. Nova's lips brushed and teased at the idea of meeting her. It was cold. A coolness that is pleasant though, as if one had just stepped into a cool bath on a hot day.
Steam rose from the room; a mixture of Nova's heat and Snow's ice. It created something of a fog. Before the two girls lips could fully contact, the steam consumed them. Nothing in the room was visible.

Matthew looked up trying to remember his name he could kick himself for not making a mental note to remember his name..."his name is...Oli..ver," he says sounding it out. The car door closed and the engined revved then the car shot out of the garage like a bat out of hell, it skimmed across the river, as the tires met the pavement it slid leaving black marks on it. As the two got to the main streets Tech slowed down to the posted speed limit, he didn't want to get pulled over and have to explain his lack of a drivers licence. "So what's with the mask, do you always wear it or do you take it off in public so no one will recognize you or something?" Matthew asked very curious indeed.
Athena was in the newly rebuilt training room, it would seem that Tech's bots worked through the night and waited for something else to be destroyed, likely by Nova. Athena had worked up a sweat punching and kicking and jumping, she had her headphones on so she could zone out well working. All the stress that caused from being leader faded away, there was something calming about hitting a bag of sand.

Snow would slowly wake up, eyes fluttering open as she recalled the past few hours. She slowly sat up and stretched her arms high over her head and felt parts of her body had burns. She looked to these burns but found no markings. There was no pain with these hot spots but it was indeed different. She began to look around the room for Nova to see if she was still there.

So what's with the mask, do you always wear it or do you take it off in public so no one will recognize you or something?"
"I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you," X replies casually, then chuckles and adds, "Just kidding. I keep it on because I like it, just like the suit. Besides, it's not exactly like heroes get days off, am I right?" He looks out the window, watching people as they pass by and skimming details from the buildings along the sidewalk. Business district, he figures they were just now, given the number of older folks in suit and ties, the occasional business skirt catching his eye. Before long the scene changes as they end in a more residential area, the dull gray of business buildings giving way to more flashy fronts, store signs looking to catch peoples' attention.
"So, Oliver," he speaks up after another minute, "he the kid who showed up with Athena yesterday? What's his deal?"
