Just deleted one scene and she's gone? This proves that the huge list of characters we have on this film will be there for a second each. Especially considering she was on the comic con panel promoting the movie!
Yes, get the DVD/Blu-ray when it comes out and Rogue will still have been in the movie in a sense, with that deleted part being the only real scene that was ever planned for her... Bravo Singer.
Like Darth kinda pointed out, most of the others may not even have that much more screen time than what was planned for her, because gotta make room for the film being 90% Wolverine.

I think best we can hope for is 90% Wolverine, Xavier and Magneto. That's my only hope now, that these movies have shifted from being all about Wolverine to being all about Wolverine, Young Xavier and Young Magneto.
Also think Mystique and Beast will both have semi-decent size roles. They'd be really stupid to put Jennifer Lawrence aside as a minor role Imo.
Well to be fair none of them are in costumes in that photo. Although it's interesting that Charles is standing. So we might get an explanation for how we see a 50+ year old Xavier standing at the beginning of Last Stand. Singer did say this movie is his chane to "fix a few things."
Although I'd prefer he fix Cyclops to be the true bad ass he's supposed to be.
Cyclops was supposed to be the uptight, reasonable secondary authority figure. He got screwed in the movies, but shame on what's-his-face for wanting to be in a Supes movie instead of X-Men.

if they had used Rogue, they would have had to dedicated some time on flashbacks telling the audience how she can all of a sudden fly and juggle school buses.
They probably cut the character entirely because they still had her at pre-Ms.Marvel level, finally realized the audience isn't as dumb as they've been treating us for the last 10 years, and we'd complain about future Rogue not having Marvel's powers.
