Nice.

Hopefully X-Men can finally be a box office beast and Fox will learn that having Wolverine only as the face of the franchise but not screwing over the other characters is the best way forward.

Wasnt Malekitwhatever amped by a gem and still killed by a ship crashing on him?

After seeing all superheroes movies aviable to date, from the 3 Main Studios (FOX,Sony,Marvel,WB), i have to say marvel nerf thier heavy hitters WAY TOO MUCH.

Avengers and enemies pale compared to the versatile and varied powerset of the XMEN (Xavier-Quicksilver are totally broken), and the raw power of Superman and Kryptonians.

I bet Apocalipse is going to be a monster going by the post credit scene, Singer already said that the next movie is gonna have Roland Emmerich type of worldwide destruction and chaos.
Singer is going to make Apoc justice just like he did it with the sentinels.

Apocalypse is going to need some real PIS to defeat. Going by the post-credits scene, what is stopping him from flinging every X-man into space?

Well, turns out I have one more question: [SPOILER - highlight to read]: how the hell was Jean and Scott (and Xavier for that matter) alive at the end of this?

Simple young charles saw everything in logans future remember and then looked at his before speaking with future charles.

It'll likely be something along the lines of Wolverine gets brainwashed. Kills a few of the good guys. Xavier or Jean gets through to him telepathically and he beats Apocalypse by betrayal.

Fox has also gimped people in the past. Ahem... Cyclops.. Ahem. Also remember it took Storm 3 films to fly, and Magneto to this day doesn't have his forcefield. And even if they think an invincible FF is over the top, there are other ways for Mags to replicate the same ability, like an Adamantium suit. That would be pretty easy to believe considering how easily he manipulates the indestructible metal.

But Yeah Fox has improved a million fold with the last 2 X-Men films.

Nothing really, except he won't even be bothered by them stick out tongue Although they will have some heavy hitters now with Quicksilver and possibly a young version of Phoenix too(young Cyclops, Jean and Storm are confirmed). And who knows, Apoc may not be 100% resistant to Mental attacks, so don't completely count Xavier out. And Magneto will obviously join them still packing a punch too.

Anyway it should be Awesome watching Apoc toying with all these heavy hitters.

You would've thought Xavier would remember the date in the future that got changed where this happened and wolverine coming to him finally having the memories from the alternative future wouldn't be such a surprise to him.

[SPOILER - highlight to read]: Well, it was decades later so it is possible that it slipped his mind rather easily. But as soon as he saw what was up, he knew immediately what had happened and told wolverine "welcome back. smile"

Since daududemon took the time out to address my concerns its only fair I respond in kind. I mean Kitty states that the future created by the time traveling consciousness power is the only future anyone other than the person being transported would know. That means that whenever she uses her powers successfully there's an alternate future made in which it would appear as if she never used her powers to change the previous outcome in the first place. I guess my greatest concern is how does she know exactly what to do in terms of how far she should send someone back, how she knew she had this power in the first place, and how is she able to use it effectively to the point where she can change the timeline that she's currently in but not well enough to remember the previous events of the timeline she originally did the time-traveling conscious thing.

This scenario that you describe is applicable if and only if the information she passes into the past causes a drastic change. If it does not cause a drastic change, the timeline remains unaltered. This allows for her to practice this power. She can send as much information as she wants into the past as long as it is benign information. This is just one explanation of our information passing works in time-travel stuff.

I mentioned 2 other ways, as well. The other way was me explaining how she could pass information into the past but it always alters the future (like it would be in the real world). That was the Xavier-Kitty stuff I was describing.

The third way I mentioned was the reality way in that it would possibly work because we exist in a multiverse.

Going by that explanation, the only training she could do with this power is by going off of what other people tell her about the power that she's using to tell other people to tell the past version of her about it.

That's only if you use that specific scenario for how it works. There were 2 other ways I explained how this stuff could work. One of them would make you the most satisifed: that the timeline does not change at all unless it is significant (that is what I meant by benign information...if the information she passes is benign, she can still know it and not cease to exist).

Also while the sending of information by relaying it to Bishop or Xavier would work, it also requires the audience to make a lot of assumptions to be made about its functions and of Kitty's experience with the power: assumption that I personally do not feel that I should have to make w/o any previous information given about the power.

When it comes to time travel, the extreme majority of viewers are going to be ignorant of temporal physics. In fact, the physics and the philosophy that goes into this field of study is highly experimental. This is one of those situations where "suspension of disbelief" is not difficult to do. I agree that some films make suspension of disbelief pretty difficult to do (all of the Die Hard films, for example).

Also your analogy of explaining how the timelines work would be just fine had someone came out and said that in the film. Instead I'm left wondering why Kitty suddenly developed this power and how she's able to use it so well, since according to the information that she gives the audience about it, she wouldn't have any memory of the previous timelines that she's changed which would lead me to the conclusion that each time Kitty uses her power, she would perceive it as a brand new power on every time.

I agree with you. But getting into the nuances of temporal information passing and temporal networking is way too complicated for general audiences. Most viewers will just accept that information can be passed.

The approach would have been just fine and made sense had it been given a better explanation. Or better yet just give Charles the power since it would be a more reasonable secondary-mutation rather than going from phasing to time-traveling powers. Personally I saw it as a cheap way of trying to make Kitty relevant even though here actual role in this story was given to another character. Then again I don't think Ellen Page's Kitty would be strong enough to be the central character in this movie so I guess it was for the best.

I agree with you, here, as well. Xavier is a much better choice for temporal information passing because he can already "astral project" which really is a time-space mind projection thingie.

The best guess I could think is that the government allowed Trask Industries to continue with its Sentinel Program in which the new leader of the company did the non-lethal experiments that you mentioned.

Also I don't think Wolverine's the best example since the experiments done on him were very lethal: he only survived thanks to HF.

She was also special and he desired her genome above all others so it is much easier to believe he would never destroy his prized specimen. The others were disposable to him.

You haven't watched it, have you? You waited for the reviews and the box office numbers to tell you whether it was ok to like it or not.

Like you usually do.

[SPOILER - highlight to read]: i watched it and was intrigued by the what I hope amounts to Apocalypse teaser at the end.

I liked younger Magento's brash, us versus them attitude despite being warned by his future self. Surprised at Mystique being the most important catalyst to set these events in order. I liked the tie in with the man who gave Wolverine his claws and the interaction in the past. Trask IMO was not an *******.

I sided with younger Magneto and loved the football stadium feat. What he did to wolverine before tossing him into the water was quite painful I'd imagine

Kinda cool to see Jean alive especially with all the others at the end. Good things not great things, loser.

Unlike you and movies like Tron Legacy I understood the film. Condolences.

You are a petulant child. I didn't give an in depth review I just commented on it vaguely. You begging for my expertise opinion only makes me think less of you. And here I thought you were already at rock bottom.

I backed my claim. You begged for my opinion because you worship me. Its kind of obvious. Just back your silly little claims every once in a while since I always do.
