“Prometheus” served as an ‘unofficial’ prequel to Scott's seminal 1979 sci-fi movie “Alien,” and the sequel that Green will write aims to be much more “alien-y” and in line with the terrifying tone of past films in the franchise. Never understood the hate for the first one. People wanted the origin of the xenos. Well there it is I guess. My only problem is it does not coincide with the Aliens and Predator mythos. Besides that I really enjoyed the movie.

Yes they did. In both the comics and movies the space jockeys are heavily related to them. A space jockeys skull is in Predator 2 and in the comics, the space jockeys are the ones that give the Yautja they're technology ( at least in one of the series).

But since the avp movies are not related to the rest its ok. In those movies the yautja have been using the xenos for sport for thousands of years. Which is closer to the comics and books despite being god awful portrayals.
