Is it just me or does using heat vision hurt them? It's like it burns them too or something.
I actually mentioned this in another thread and asked if I was the only who thought the same way

Yea high intensity heat vision hurts them. Probably heats up their insides or something.
I wish Jor-El had made it to Earth. Imagine him with Kryptonian superpowers? He'd solo Superman and the Avengers.

Yeah Jor-El was BA for sure.
It actually kind of bothered me that he beat Zod in a fight.

you might be right. i am of the opinion that it has a lot to do with it being a new power and pushing their limits type thing. Routh's HV seemed to be more effective, versatile and powerful IMO.
i'm also surprised by the lack of super breath, but i guess he's just a noob with his powers.

I for one do not mind the lack of super breath.

Well, to be fair, Superman got some help too.
I imagine if the Avengers could have stopped the Kyptonian invasion? specially the world engine, if they were getting powerless around it.
Well actually, IIRC Krypton's environment is not suitable for humans so they very much could be on a similar situation.

I didn't mind either, just weird to see a superman movie and no super breath.

Thor probably could, but in a different manner.
He wouldn't muscle his way through the beam. Mjolnir would absorb/deflect it while he made his way. Assuming movie mjolnir can absorb that kind of power.

I don't see why it couldn't.
I also believe Thor would have an easier time taking down the World Engine than Superman did with his lightning based attacks.

Because then we would be applying a no-limits fallacy to mjolnir?
Of course Thor would have an easier time. He would not be getting weak by the atmosphere.
