Incorrect. Batfleck set up a Batman movie well. BvS did all it could to trash that opportunity.

Ben Affleck and Jeremy Irons are probably the 2 best things about BvS. And even then he had to work against the character assasination they gave him.

BVS did set up a few things right, but it's dropping around the world per Deadline. Might not even hit 900.

In the end it still made them profit, even if it's not as much as they hoped. I'm hoping that Miller secret directs JL and just puts Snyder's name. The other projects can still be good, though.

I don't think it's going to out-earn Deadpool at all domestically.

It's got a long way to go that's for sure.

in the Lore, Gandalf >>> Galadrial. He's a Maiar; a lesser "angel". He's the same level of power that Sauron is. He just plays by the rules set by Eru. Gandalf was never captured by Sauron. Nor would he cower in fear and be a ***** Like Peter Jackson likes to keep making him.

Also, Galadrial couldn't drive Sauron out by herself...it was atrocious.

Galadriel stick out tongue

Technically, it did happen during the events of the book... but it's only mentioned by Gandalf once.

Keep in mind that in Peter Jackson's version of LOTR, Gandalf did get wtfpwned by the Witchking. So, at least Jackson is consistent here.

Yes, I was typing fast...so sue me. wink

And no, it didn't happen like the movie portrayed it. They did send a council of powerful figures to deal with the Necromancer; and it's believed it took their combined strength to force him out. In the Hobbit movies it was basically just Galadriel. Which is beyond stupid.

And yes, in the extended edition of LoTR Gandalf got bitched out by Witch King; which again, if fuggn' nonsense and not at all how it happened in the books. In the books, Gandalf and Witch King knew it would be a considerable effort to defeat one another, and events on the battlefield drew the Witch King away. Gandalf could easily defeat the Witch King in the books, but to do so would require him to display his true power...something Eru forbade the Maiar from doing; at least in public.

IIRC, they never fought the Necromancer in the books. He fled before the White Council could confront him.

It's all pretty vague to be honest. Tolkien doesn't go into a whole lot of detail about it unfortunately.

Same here. My exact score and feelings for BvS.

But if WB wants greatness for JL, and if they want JL to be a Billion dollar franchise, then Snyder really needs to go.

Tarantinos last movie should be a justice league movie. Now that I know that I won't get to see superman be a superhero for atleast another three reboots and six remakes, this is the best I can hope for

As far as the movie didn't do much for superman, It never will guys. No high hearld god like character will carry a movie by him or herself. I think characters like batman and iron man do so well because people can relate to the characters. everyone that I know that went to see this movie loved ben as batman but not a one person even mentioned henry and its sad. henery makes a good superman, but again its superman. even Gal, Gadot got some attention in the movie. No one even gave a crap about luthor, doomsday or superman.

I don't know man. I always related to superman because of his resolve. I hold the same belief in mankind that he does...,people are good and worth saving and living with. The most important aspect of Superman has always been that he chooses to use his abilities without personal gain or prospect of a reward. This is contradicted in bVs because the first half of the movie builds up the public debate of what his intentions are and never gives superman a chance to respond. This leads most to believe that he's actually not sure if he wants to be a hero.

I told you my score before. I'm hoping the dream team comes into play. There is a lot of good things they can still do with the DCEU, they just need to execute it better.
