And yeah mate, there's also hundreds of Age of Apocalypse stories. And the main one also involves weird meta alternate versions of the other characters. Considering they are changing THAT aspect of the story, why feel the need to be a slave to any other story elements?

Edit.. Just watched it. As a trailer I'm not a fan. It might be a good movie but I'll have to wait. Hopefully the next trailer is a bit Better. Apoc's voice is pretty bad too imo.

Not liking Magneto being one of the four horsemen though. He and Charles always team up to take on Apoc for the greater good. I suppose its also kind of cool since the two biggest X-men villains are teaming up to wipe out all the humans in the world like Mags tried to do in X2. Usually Magneto teams against Apoc because Apoc also kills mutants. Whoever is strong enough to survive does, and thats Apocs philosophy. I suppose this version of Apoc is more in line with Magnetos ideals, so teaming with him makes sense.
Liking Storm, Angel, and Psylock as the other choices though. Also super hyped for Jean, Cyke, and Nightcrawlers team.

This is honestly the worst part of his movies. Cyke, Gambit, and Nightcrawler are my top X-men. Two of them weren't done justice, and the third just disappeared without explanation.
I'm hoping he finally gives Cyke the treatment he deserves.
X-1 by today's standards isn't near as good as it was when released. You have to remember, there weren't alot of superhero movies that showcased the vast amount of powers that an X-Men movie requires. I remember watching and Re-watching the trailers for X-1 over and over because I couldn't believe they were making a movie about them. I grew up with the X-men animated series and was fanboying over the movie. Yes, granted alot of characters got screwed over, but it's gonna happen when there are so many characters involved.
Cyclops got messed over, yes, but Sabretooth really got screwed.. Still, for it's time it was pretty good imo.
