Well... I gotta say... this latest battle is DEFINITELY one of the most entertaining I've seen yet. I've never laughed so hard or so much during an episode, and I love how [SPOILER - highlight to read]: they just go HAM with the entire thing close to the end of the fight. Bravo, ScrewAttack! You did well this time.
Well, in the latest game, Sol apparently can punch a ****ing planet in half.
So about that lopsided.
Even without that feat, at base form he rekt Justice, who vaporized the entire country of Japan with a single Gamma Ray. Ragna is a town bester to city buster.
The actual canon in fighting games is really hard to comprehend, take Mortal Kombat for example where every character has their own ending but only one of them is usually canon.
I know nothing about GUilty Gear or Blazblue but it wouldn't surprise me if Deathbattle used feats from various endings that may or may not be canon.
On the other hand, Sol is generally seen as the main character of Guilty Gear so chances are his story is as canon as you can get just like Ryu or Scorpion. Not sure about the Blaz Blue character though
Was nice to hear Coo's theme during the star rod bit. Always was one of my favorite melodies from the Kirby series.
I'm relatively neutral as to caring who wins next round, but I do expect it to be an amazing looking battle. I'd be surprised if the battle doesn't end with an Astral Finish or Instant Kill.

To be fair about the next Death Battle they're using pre Shippuden Gaara, an how many times has the character who seemed obviously stronger lost a death battle? The fact Gaara has Shukaku makes it seem like he's already going to win, this alone makes it so they could make Toph win to be the "unexpected victor".
I wouldn't put it past them to be like "Gaara may have had the edge in the air but soon as he went beast mode and his feet touched the ground it was over. Even with Shukaku it's still completely made up of Sand, allowing Toph to bend it, an even if she couldn't, her metal bending would be similar to how they contained the Shukaku in the past with the golden sand making the sand harder for the beast to manipulate since the gold is heavier than the sand itself, an what is gold? METAL. 'WHAT ABOUT SHIPPUDEN GAARA WIZ?!' Well that would mean we would use Legend of Korra Toph who can still bend things and Gaara also wouldn't even have Shukaku so she could just bend Gaara. In the end Gaara's sand just couldn't sand up, the winner is Toph.
NEXT TIME ON DEATH BATTLE!!!

Gender: Male Location: In Luna's mane, chasing STAAARS!
I notice a pattern in Death Battle that most characters who have flashy power boosts will automatically lose.
Goku
Ryu
Bison
Luigi
Tiger Zord
Buu
Doomguy
And who did they lose to? Guys who didn't need it and used what they already had at their disposal. I'm not saying they didn't deserve the win nor did. I'm just pointing it out.
They got Ryu vs scorpion wrong, They got Goku's and buus stats wrong (not the battle but the stats). And there are several battles were someone who had more "flashy" powers won.
It's obvious that the deathbattles are for entertainment than anything else. They know little of the characters or the fts and the fts that are named, they got it from looking at 'single' scans instead of reading the story.
That wouldn't surprise me, although now they've had a research team that assists them with that kind of thing in the making of their more recent videos, from what I heard.
Not that that stops them from having the occasional bias like for Scorpion.
