JIA is my friend. We box. I support him in his belief. But there is a reason he cannot make head way. When we tell people they are wrong, they will become defensive. If we hit them again with more negativity, they close their minds. Now when someone else tells them about Jesus, they don’t want to hear it, they don’t want any more negativity. That is one soul lost, and it’s all JIA’s fault. I’m not telling him to change his beliefs. I am only asking him to tone it down.
But if your not going to convert to Chrisitanity and he's not going to convert to Buddhism, what hope is there of any of this, it seems un fruit full to push your believes on anyone else, it barley works in person, how are two people who never met in person going to do it?
I would rather you start a thread about Buddhism and you teach me about what you believe, then I could actually learn something.
As you know I was in Bali for a month and learned about Hinduism. I want to read the Koran soon as well.
Just because i believe in Yahweh does not mean I refuse to listen to other beliefs, I can find my God even in Buddhism, even though you don't believe in the same God as me does not mean we cannot be friends and you cant teach me or others about Buddhism. I would more then be willing to listen to anything you said to help me understand Buddhism.

Well, I encourage you read as much as you can. Have you seen the movie Life of Pi? If you haven’t I recommend it.
I am not a teacher, and you do not want to learn Buddhism from someone who is not a teacher.

I went to a strict boarding school, where the brothers (Priests) would cane and tear my ass up. Minor things also! Jesus. I still believe in God, but, most brothers (Priests) did assault (rape) youths. Not with me, but I've heard stories from others boarders.
