Start at about 59 seconds.

Batman doesn't disarm Ra's. His arm guards allow him to survive and catch the blade, then he breaks it. And Ra's stabs the remaining part of his sword into the control panel then forgets about it. After that he absolutely dominates Batman.

Without that armor or blades Batman would have died very quickly.

I'm not saying Ra's wins though. Just pointing out that he had Bruce dead to rights until Gordon shot the train and he focused on that.
