And what, Katara's just gonna sit there and take it?
lol, Katara is a lot faster than Toph, or her bending. Katara fought evenly and actually defeated a comet-amped Azula, when Toph couldn't even catch a powerless one.

Theres no point in arguing even with your little made up rule she still would be able to bend because by your logic she had already made contact with the earth.

The blind kid who can't swim is knocked into a massive body of water (which lurks a super predator) and she's expected to keep a cool head and only think of a rational way to safety?

If she can supposedly bend Earth up from below her, and use it to protect herself, yes. Just as she has many times in the past, in even more threatening situations.

So you're only counter-argument is basically, "I have no proof whatsoever to prove my point, and you have dozens of examples and simple logic to prove yours, but mine is still correct because it's POSSIBLE that she just happened to phuck up so massively in a life-or-death situation.
Yeah, just so you know, that counts as a resignation.

According to you Toph has to because you don't like her. Why wouldn't the same logic apply for someone who isn't in favor of Katara.
Proof? Katara didn't fight comet amp Azula first so that wouldn't be entirely her win. Neither could Aang and he's more powerful than Katara...unless you want to say that's wrong.
Nooooo, that couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, Toph is probably my second or third favorite character in the series behind Bumi and Sokka. I'm honestly trying to have the lowest amount of bias possible in my argument here, which I always at least attempt to do.
You're right. She fought Azula after she had already had a fight with Zuko. However, as we've seen, she wasn't tired, or injured at all. The only thing that might have detrimentally effected her, was her deteriorating mental state. Even with that though, that wasn't really a crucial part in her losing to Katara. Katara beat her because she outsmarted her, and was able to keep up with her speed in combat. Even being able to bend water to surround them and into ice before Azula could even shoot fire from her already extended finger tips.
No, Aang's a lot stronger than Katara overall. Just like he is to Toph. In water-bending alone though? I don't really know about that. I think she's performed some pretty impressive feats with it compared to what Aang has, even being strong enough to blood bend. Just like how Toph is a much better Earth bender than Aang, being able to control a lot more, ridiculously more precisely. The only difference being that she can't see, and needs earth sight to bend. Either of them would lose a blood-lusted fight to him though, because he can bend all the elements, and avatar state makes him god to his world.

And he keeps saying toph is not those other earthbenders we already know that in fact toph is better than all of those other benders what they are capable of she is too ten fold. So his arguement makes no sense

No, you said she could bend no matter what because she somehow can feel the Earth all the time. But when she's in the air, or in the water, she canNOT, because she can only see through vibrations in the ground.
Either way, you still haven't been arguing anything for the past one or two pages, so I'll take that as your concession.

So why does it matter that she's blind? I thought she could bend even while she couldn't see, because that's the argument you're making.
She struggles to stay alive constantly, and can still do just fine. It just so happens that she turns into a helpless blind person when she can't feel vibrations through the ground.

Because the idea of a person who can't swim being thrown in the water is bad enough without the fact that they are blind, making the whole situation more terrifying. She's still human so she panicked. That's what happened and it has no televeance to being held in a relatively small amount of water.

So why was she acting calm and even upset when it was Suki who rescued her? She obviously wasn't panicking that much, if she told Suki, even jokingly, to just let her drown because she wasn't Sokka.
Either way, you're beating around the bush here. If she was terrified about being in the water because she was blind then, and couldn't swim, then this is no different. She has proven many times she can't bend without using her Earth sense, and you trying to justify a single example is proving how desperate you are.
Without you trying to give her lenience, she still has never ONCE bent without using her Earth sense, even when it WOULD have saved her life. These are all things Bumi could have done easily, simply because he CAN SEE.

"So why was she acting calm and even upset when it was Suki who rescued her?"
"Calm when Suki rescued her"
"Calm.. rescued"
There you have it.
Mm that's true, apart from everything. Unless you're going to tell me that Katara is going to instantly summon an Avatar sized body of water. Because if not Toph won't be that far away from earth.
You're fighting your own argument. You stated that Toph could only bend the pebble or the meteor in midair because she had a feel for it beforehand. Which is basically saying "If Toph has a preexisting feel of the earth, she can bend it without contact."
Now, how is that any different from getting a feel of the earth below then bending that when not touching it? You're argument here..
