from what I remember, I'ts impossible for someone in db to put out more energy than they themselves ca handle. If piccolo can use a blast to take out the moon, he can withstand a blast that can take out the moon...Then again I haven't watched dbz in ages and heaven knows I don't read. So take that with a grain of salt.
Yep, I've just watched fights where Goku is hundreds of times stronger than he was in Saiyan Saga and their attacks are absolutely negligible compared to a fight in current!Naruto.
Their ultimate techniques are pretty solid though. Regardless Goku won't win this fight with the regular combat showings he has in SS.
Uh, you realise by this logic Naruto (or actually a vast majority of fictional universes) wouldn't be all that impressive right, because what supposedly looks to be their best (with all the colleteral damage and such shit) only happened a few times throughout the series, yeah?
There's a good reason why on a vast majority of vs debating boards we take the more impressive showings of a character and assume it to be an accurate portrayal of their performance, unless there was some sort of circumstance that would make it useless in a neutral battleground (like say, a battleground that'd grant far more power than a character would normally have). Think, instances of running thousands of kilometers in seconds and nuking countires with casual attacks vs fights with beings on a similar tier where they don't pull off Wesker shit and collateral is about comparable to, say, a sub kiloton bomb when they're clearly not pulling their punches
If you want to go down this road, it'll just end up as a nitpicking low end shit fest
Anyways, Gohan as a 4 year old when he got angry broke Raditz's pod physically, same pods which can tank Nappa's casual shit, meaning we're talking guys who can bust countries though physical strength here
Again, Piccolo with a casual ki blast destroyed the moon Death Star style, which was calced in the zettaton range. He's basically worthless compared to Nappa in his stronger LSS (not to be confused with Legendary Super Saiyan) form, much less Post Kaio training Goku, who stomped Nappa casually

That's because they're getting stronger, and we've been seeing this (growing) scale of combat for the past few years. It's not inconsistent.
While they can apparently destroy planets with their ultimate attacks, at least as of the Saiyan Saga, their combat showings show nothing of this scale. The explosions caused by their casual Ki blasts are negligible by comparison, and Vegeta could be harmed by punches that were only strong enough to crush boulders.
I haven't seem the Moon feat with Piccolo, though, so IDK, but wouldn't that feat be the odd one odd one out rather than their usual combat feats?

Dragon Ball's moon is made of cheese or something. Roshi blew it up, too.
Though DB characters can control the amount of collateral they cause with ki attacks, so lack of collateral is not really an argument against their power in most cases.
Also, Gohan blew up the pod from inside. Between ki control and that important detail things start to make a lot more sense.
I'm not really touching this because I refuse to follow Naruto, and I'm not reading up on it now that's it's literally at 700 ****ing chapters.

Why? Because you don't like it. Piccolo at a power level of 350 casually blew up the moon. Nothing is outlier about it, leans more on denial if anything. DBZ hater denial.

No, because it's inconsistent as cancerous balls.
Also, stop claiming everyone's a hater. Dragon Ball was a big thing in my childhood. It's people who try to wank it to extreme levels that cause the backlash against it.
Also, my real issue with the feat is not even just that its inconsistent, which it is, it's mainly that people try to use power levels to extrapolate beyond it.

Power levels are not linear, they're merely a literary device for "this guy is more powerful than the other"
All they tell you is what feats you get to powerscale off and not much else
And it's inconsistent because nothing else in Part 1 DB stacks up to it
Also gents, how could we forget, if you don't believe the most wanked things about DBZ then you're just a hater
No, I actually like DBZ, it's one of favorite manga series, I just don't wank it to incomprehensible levels. It's people like you who give DBZ fans a bad reputation

Um, they are pretty scalable, and you just admitted it. The scale might not be numerically accurate unless broken down anatomically, which is possible, but that makes sense considering the "scale" was constructed by an alien, galactic empire in a cartoon, for phuck sake.
Also, Roshi busting the moon was NOT inconsistent. He was very winded, and used a PL on par with Demon king Piccolo to do so. He was able to stave of King Piccolo as a youngster, and was apparently much more powerful at that point. The point is though that we've seen plenty of times in DB and DBZ that the characters can control the level of AOE their attacks carry. That's part of what makes them so strong. They can unleash an attack with planet busting+ capacity, that's smaller than a tennis ball, and doesn't affect anything if it touches the ground. Hell, it was made to be a main point around the Namek saga that the characters HAD to do so, or every attack they threw would blow up the planet.
Not necessarily. In my opinion, it's fans like you, who downplay DBZ just to sate raging fanboys of other series, that give the fandom a bad name.

So you're saying every blast after that should have the spread of a moon busting attack? Doesn't work like that. That's like me saying Roshi blast is more powerful than anything Frieza did. DBZ isn't about collateral damage and anyone that watched the show or read the manga knows this. Cell can shoot a casual blast that does nothing but pick up the rocks under Goku feat and it'll probably be more powerful than anything Frieza can muster. Moral of the story, you're wrong and Roshi moon busting ft is canon.
