I'll just post this. ERod is the biggest DC fan and is disappointed with the DCEU.
If a DC fan like ERod is disappointed, then Warner bros and DC are doing something wrong. By the way I like ERod's reviews of movies regardless if he likes DC or hate it.
I could care less, tbh. Like I said, I have no problem calling Superman the most iconic, but not the most popular. I spoke to someone from Ethiopia and she said that Superman is well known, but Spidey is the most popular over there. I'm just calling it how I see it. Now if you have any evidence to back up your claim, go right ahead and post it. I'll concede if it's a good source.
There would have been a time when Superman WAS the most popular. Not only was he widely well known, but his comics even sold way into the millions.
However, with Marvel pushing their merchandise world wide, the popularity of the Sam Remi movies, and everything in-between, Spider-Man has not only closed the gap, but relates to more people as a whole, like you said. TBH, I've met a lot of people who don't give a shit about Superman.
This is the reason why Kevin Tsujihara pushed more movies and TV on DC heroes, so they can spread across all mediums. This is how characters get known and become more popular.
Oh jeez stop with the nitpicking. And I'm not sure why inflation is an issue for Dr. Strange, given it came out last year and we're predicting the box office for films out this year.
What does it matter what MOS made now? I was predicting a Billion plus for BvS but it made no where near that much due to a very poor multiplier.
What the heck? I'm not backtracking on Iron Man. This isn't a Spider-Man/Iron Man team up movie as far as I'm aware. But not hiding that Iron Man is in the film is a smart move to make it clear this 3rd incarnation of Spider-Man in the last 10 years is very different to the previous versions because it's in the MCU.
So I'm not sure with Spider-Man. It certainly does have the potential.. But if I were to guess I'd say Spider-Man outperforms Wonder Woman, and Ragnarok outperforms JL.
Nah, you said IM is generally a guarantee for a billion dollar movie. IM is in the next Spidey film, so by your logic, SM: Homecoming should hit a billion. That's what you said!!
TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if it hit 1B. Maybe 2B.
Spidey is probably just as famous as the big 2 at Marvel at this point. All 3 of them are widely well known. Spidey is more popular with the recent generations, IMO. Batman can compete, but Superman? Nah. lol

I meant in movies where he's the first or second main character. I didn't mean he can just show up in someone else's movie, and Bang 1Bill guaranteed lol
Homecoming by all rights should gross 1Bill, but like I said all depends on how tired audiences are of Spidey reboots. Which is why they need IM in this. Make it clear this is the MCU. Because Civil War didn't quite get the audience an Avengers movie gets. And Spidey's presence in it wasn't as well known as you think.
$ 800-900 mill should be a safe bet though for Homecoming.
Yes, but does the GA know that? At the end Of the trailer we see Iron Man and Spidey race off together. People are thinking they will fight together. Kind of like Hulk and Thor in Ragnarock.
Agree Homecoming will be huge. And if it can replicate the success of SM1 today, then it would fly over the Billion mark. But it's still the 3rd SM in 10 years so that's why I think it's hard to predict. Who knows.
