Then whoever's currently portraying Joker in the comics that way ought to have their writing privileges revoked. He's not meant to be some hip love-sick puppy.
I guess. IMO SS was just really boring, the action scenes were all super lame, which can be forgivable if they deliver on the characters, but I found everyone in that movie to be pretty wooden and lackluster.
At least BvS had a few scenes that I found entertaining.
I haven't lost all hope for the DC movieverse yet though, I think James Wan will do a good job with Aquaman, I like his directing style. And hopefully Affleck will deliver with his solo outing.

Nah, they weren't that bad. But, here we go again about opinions vs opinions. SS has officially hit 745 million. If it were that bad (say FF, bad), it wouldn't have hit that mark.
Plenty of people liked those movies, though. Quality is subjective. And I didn't care for the Transformers movies, other than the last one. First one was decent, too.
Enjoyment is subjective, quality for the most part can be measured.

I don't know why some of you are going on about being right and winning. Rob and Impediment were in on this gag because I PMed them. Silent and Rao PMed me and figured I changed the post. I highly doubt anybody thought Quan made the post, but simply played along just for the lulz.
I don't think quality is subjective. Entertainment perhaps is subjective, but Suicide Squad definitely lacked quality. It was a mess on many different levels. Joker's scene really had nothing to do with the plot of the movie. He was just there for fan service, which actually just ended up hurting the movie because it made him pointless and therefore unmemorable. There wasn't ever really any real tension to most of the "action" scenes. None of the characters ever truly seemed threatened. Like Khazra said the action scenes were "super lame." The first half of the movie was just a new character introduced every 5 minutes (and a random pop song I might add) which ruined any substantial character development. Will Smith's character was the only one with any real depth or dynamic. Oh, and the CGI villain at the end looked fu#king horrible.
Basically they tried to cram like 8 or 10 different movies into it and we ended up with a clusterf#ck.
I thought it was highly entertaining. Not the best super hero movie out there, but good enough and most people who I watched it with, loved it. I also really liked X-Men Apocalypse and that had poor reviews, too. Agree to disagree, bud.
The more-and-more I talk with friends that have seen SS and the more I read up on here, the more I'm glad I didn't catch this one in theaters. This is coming from a guy who thinks Man of Steel is one of the comic-book movie subgenre's highs and really liked BvS (I know, bring on the lynch mob now, sorry).
Thank you Netflix monthly DVD subscription, you just got another one put in the queue.
I found it entertaining, too. On certain levels there are some redeeming qualities. (Margot Robbie is hot as fu#k, for example, heh). But objectively as a stand-alone movie it is a huge mess.
Well, I actually enjoyed Suicide Squad more, but probably for the wrong reasons. It was interesting looking at the trainwreck caused by the studio butting in too much. But like I said, to me it's like comparing crap and vomit. And I'm with you, I caught a cheap showing of both films. I read enough about them and decided to save money.
