Mmhmm. Cytharat was sent to Makeb, fully expecting to die there and knowing he was in such a position due to his past affiliation with Malgus.
He either died in a glorious last stand saving your character, or survived grievously wounded only to return to frontline combat trying to make amends for siding with Malgus against the empire.
He's an interesting character tbh, I'll try dig for some of his conversation lines about his allegiance to Malgus and his punishment.

Is there any reason you clicked on a thread of unreleased content and expected people to talk about anything else besides that content and what might be happening in it?

There is no such thing as non-story related news, and there is no such thing as general storyline related news that doesn't reveal anything significant. A thread on a fan forum certainly isn't the place to look for those things either. The announcement thread at The SWTOR forums is.
Now you're just being silly. There could be a huge variety of news that doesn't specifically spoil major elements of the upcoming expansion, such as the nature of the changes they're making to the 8 original class storylines, a timeline on when chapters will be released, details regarding new worlds, exactly how the new Outlander class is going to work etc. I don't visit the SWTOR forums and am not so invested that I constantly need up to date information, so it's far more convenient to go to this thread every time I see that there are new posts for it.
Which just goes to prove that you weren't actually looking for literally any of this information that was released almost as soon as the expansion was announced. They aren't changing the base game, they already said the chapters are coming in January, and that the story picks up five years after SoR. New worlds come with story elements, and their is no new Outlander class, they are just whichever of the base game pcs you choice to import into Knights of the Fallen Empire.
Sounds like a personal problem. If you won't go directly to the source, that's all on you, especially considering this thread has clearly not educated you on anything about the current expansion at all. How exactly is being in the dark convenient?

Also, bear in mind I only listed a few potential updates that are reasonably foreseeable. There could be a host of unexpected updates of the non-spoiler variety.
Your claim that updates for the game could by their nature only be spoilers is simply stupid.
Not to mention, I was primarily motivated to enter this thread for potential updates, but people might want to generally just talk about the game (e.g. predictions for the upcoming storyline).
I like to match the time I invest in something to the interest I have in it. My interest in updates on this expansion is not so high that getting a comprehensive and up to date level of information on it justifies going out of my way to regularly visit the official forums. My interest is high enough however that it justifies occasionally clicking on this thread when I see that it's received recent activity. It's convenient because it satisfies the time:interest ratio.
People might enter this thread for a variety of reasons and it's about being respectful enough to accomodate those that might potentially not want to see spoilers for the game. Spoiler tags are there for a reason, and this is a thread for something that hasn't been released yet, so the rule would be to use spoiler tags.
I don't know why Marr and Malgus would fight though. Both hate the infighting amongst the Sith, both hate the racial prejudice of the Sith as shown by Marr sponsoring an alien to fill a vacant Dark Council spot. Marr even says he doesn't give a **** about acquiring the throne. Seems ridiculous that he wouldn't just accept a strong powerful leader like Malgus.
You forgot this is bioware we're talking about. They aren't required to make any sense.

That's also not something I said. I said this was the wrong place to look for any of that information, for various reasons, but nice job putting words in my mouth.

Yeah, don't give me a bunch of reasons why you don't care about the expansion, while simultaneously asking me to go get the info for you, and then ***** about people talking about it. This is not the place for news, nor is it the logical place to find said news. Your laziness or disinterest is your own problem, and if you only passingly want the info, oh well. And no, if I hear and element, and unconfirmed and highly vague element at that, about something I'm relatively excited for, I'm going to talk about it. People asking for people to use spoiler tags on unconfirmed aspects of unreleased content is idiotic, especially when they are also asking for predictions based off of that unreleased, unspecified, and unconfirmed aspects.
So is Malgus coming back or not? I saw the clip of him being brought before Emperor Valorkion, is it official?
