I think WB/DC just went back to what they always do and focus on anything Batman and Batman related. Most likely a new timeline unrelated to anything DCEU.

Not a fan of the cowl but the rest of the suit looks decent. Won't be surprised if this suit is a prototype anyway.

Film is reported to be during Batman's second year active.

Yeah it is, movies not even finished yet with all the editing, cgi and reshoots to do and ppl are freaking out over a few photos.
