But everyone knew when selecting and drafting characters that having shields up before the battle started was an option. They had a fair and eqitable chance to factor that into their choices. Changing the conditions after the draft is closed isn't fair as they may have chosen another optiin to take the that into consideration.
Theres also the time factor allowed for shields. Yes some can create shields and "uber" ones as you put it, but shileds that strong take longer than a second to build. Thats why many characters with very powerful shiled feats also have mediocre ones. By giving more time your actually increasing the advantage someone capable of shielding has.
The rules were firmly in place before anyone started drafting, everyone had the same chance to pick characters who didn't require much prep.... Or the chance to draft a speedster or something to build things quickly after the bell rings. Changing the rules after the drafts are finalised just seems weird. Maybe it can be discussed again before second round redrafts.
Well, its 3v3. Dexter, Abhi and LoB have yet to decide.
Another option, looking at the draft, is that we allow it....and you three don't do anything past shields, lol.
Since we can redraft/reconsider after the 1st round, Scoob/carver/beatboks can just raise shields, if they wish. It doesn't give any of YOUR opponents any advantage, as all of you are facing each other and doing the same thing....
Or when we get to fighting you, I could decide to stick with .my current drafts (which with Prep is a certain) and create an antimatter weapon before the battle begins thats so powerful it destroys everything http://s1232.photobucket.com/user/b...sort=3&o=12
That one was during battle, imagine with a few seconds of actual prep.
