Vegeta was granted the day just like Goku was. To save the world. Everything points to the gods being in the realm of the dead. Goku couldn't even sense Gohan until he got back to the dead. Goku was able to go to Gohan without permission and stay there after using all his time in the living world.

I'm still not sure why on earth he'd think the physical strikes themselves must have been universal by proxy..? That wasn't stated, or even alluded to in the episode. I think he's not grasping the fact that the energy ONLY became that potent as is spread further outward. The energy discharged at the origin point wasn't remotely close to universal--it was infinitely less, in fact. So why in the heck would the physical strikes be universal?
As for him incessantly saying: "but the strike flung Goku and Beerus back, while the Kaioshin weren't affected by the shockwaves!!!" That, too, is equally as irrelevant. We're dealing with two entirely different things: energy shockwaves and physical strikes. Goku or Beerus could have suppressed their powers astronomically, and still KO'd or killed the Kaioshin with a physical tap--Beerus proved as much with pretty much everyone he finger-owned prior to Goku. That, again, certainly doesn't make the strikes universal by proxy.
So yeah, shabby argumentation is right.

Oh, poor DB Super. If only it'd happened when Toriyama and Toei was still in their heyday, it might've been able to withstand the test of time like its predecessors, but as it is now, it won't by a long shot.
I understand that the shockwave was getting stronger as it went out but how would it have destroyed the universe if it was doing hardly any damage to the earth even on the second blow.
It must have been tearing about reality or something.
The crazy thing is, Beerus and Champa was about to destroy the Universe again during their fist fight. DBS characters can obviously throw universe destroying punches. Galan doesn't want this though.
