TBH, even as a guy who thought this was good, my main gripe is one that's not just an issue with TLJ, but Force Awakens as well:
- Both movies, especially TLJ, severely hurt the legacy of the OT and the main OT characters, [SPOILER - highlight to read]: particularly Luke. What a sad ending (?) for one of the great cinematic everyman heroes ever. The Star Wars universe picks up in Force Awakens 30 years removed from the Rebels' victory over the Empire, and what do we have at the start of Force Awakens? Luke Skywalker, greatest Jedi master the universe has ever seen? Nope, a failure who got caught up in the dark side and tried to kill his own nephew, blew it, then turned into a bitter, cynical hermit. The Rebels forming a new Republic, but still having to deal with the leftovers from the Empire or, perhaps, a new threat unlike the Empire (something like the Mandalorians)? Nope, the Rebel Alliance got pwned by the First Order, literally the Empire with a different coat of paint on it.
It's so sad that is is one of the top 2 most memorable moments of Luke in this movie...
1. They made him a failure
2. They made him a punchline
3. They made him a sideline.

It is going to cross a billion soon. This isn't Justice league news where they are falling short to WW. Star Wars is a machine and it was never going to beat the hype surrounding the first one.
Once again, you show you don't know what you are talking about. A big drop after a massive weekend almost always happens. Couple that with the fact that Christmas Eve falls on Sunday and a drop around this was expected.
60% was expected, not 69%, that is a BIG difference. In fact as the weekend went on Deadlines projections went down. That is NOT good. True, but this is f*cking STAR WARS!!!! For having such a big lead on those two movies it has fallen way behind after only 10 days.

Not every film is going to break historical records. Disney didn't anticipate this would beat Force Awakens. It's doing fine. When the movie is an embarrassment at the box office like Justice League that's when it's time to panic.
