Just saw the video. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that they're changing his powers to suit their own need. Shame, but it's not like they've been that desperate to stick to the comics before, so...

He looks like he's flying underwater, not swimming.

Aquaman swims (or rides a seahorse). He can propel himself forward at great speeds sure, but he's not like Superman that has his own internal propulsion.

So either they're changing it for stylistic reasons, or someone just didn't do the research. Either way it's not how it should look.

oh. i thought he was swimming... kinda like a mermaid.

i seriously doubt they give him flight. Although, based on a scene from the teaser trailer, it looks like they might give him Mera's control over water.

Even mermaids would move their tails more, imo.

I'm not saying they gave him flight; just that their way of showing how he moves underwater is more akin to flight than actual swimming.

I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him the water powers though; not in the slightest. It's a common misconception about the character.

ah, i see what you mean. Well, it was test footage, right? Lets hope its better in the final version.

I didnt mind the waterbearer powers, tbh. But yeah, its one of many things people get wrong about him.

Yeah waterbearer was good enough.

TBH, I just hope the movie is good. I know I'm going to complain about a lot, but I'm someone that found something to like from BvS and SS; Aquaman shouldn't really be any different.
