Not very good news at all. Radiation spilling over into the ocean seems likely to worsen as well and the cleanup could last as long as half a century. I understand people citing deaths per kw/h and all that jazz, but nuclear really has some major issues when bad reactor designs are chosen and there's still the issue of companies who build them not committing to cold storage for spent fuel.
Stuff like this always reminds me of the PC game "I Was An Atomic Mutant!".

I'll have to have a full read through this, but if it's accurate and takes into account the byproducts of creating power by each means, then nuclear is certainly good, but other forms remain better and pose less risk to the environment.
The worst by product of Alternative Energy is all the Self Righteous Nature Hippies it creates. Aint enough steel drums in the world to contain all the smug.

Per kw/h produced it has the fewest deaths. It also has relatively safe forms of reactors where if something goes wrong the entire site can be rendered inert with the right compounds. I don't think it's the best option for the fact that other relatively clean forms of energy can be utilized with less potential risk, but it's certainly better than coal by a long shot. Too much of it is just privately run and there's aren't always the safeguards that there should be in place or enough oversight in terms of final disposal of fuels.
