1. Very low awareness. People are rarely if ever encouraged to seek counselling, people think that getting a professional's help is only for "crazies". A lot of people are ashamed to share that they have mental health issues.
2. They are looked down upon. A lot of them used to be a part of the great USSR and now they are worse off, and do not like us because they are ungrateful/jealous/traitors. That's mostly older generations though. Younger generations dont believe that crap. As for stereotypes, varies for all countries.
3. Pretty common. Less common for Moscow residents to travel to far East, but traveling to Krasnodar region and some other places is what Russians do all the time. I used to do that myself. It was great.
