He sits all the time in that Japanese village, worshipping a cannibal celebrity, and doesn't realize he coud live like a king, banging Angelinas and Jennifers of the world, while getting us the anime we deserve.
Certainly it's no coincidence that Yamoshi(the first SSJ/SSG) and "S-Cells"(evidently the building blocks of Saiyan potential) are now a thing, and Broly...the "Legendary" Super Saiyan...just so happens to be appearing in this film.
I'm going to lol when it's revealed that Paragus used Freeza-tech to create Broly via experimental S-Cell manipulation... Or perhaps Toriyama will go FULL Star Wars and just have Broly be conceived by the S-Cells.

Given the state of the franchise, that is definitely one of the more plausible origin stories, imo. Paragus is some sort of expert in Saiyan history/genealogy(*enter newfound knowledge about the first SSJ/SSG along with S-Cells*), and ultimately creates Broly at the behest of Freeza.
And I could see Freeza saying something like: "I have come to the conclusion that the best way to kill a monkey... Is with a STRONGER monkey!!!"

Ironically, was actually referring more to some of the Broly fans who fear this film might **** him up, but I'm not seeing how it would, at least not yet.
I mean any kind of origin story, even if Frieza's partly behind it, would still be better than Broly getting triggered because Goku made him cry.
