I mean Vader took part in blowing up alderan, killed millions, murdered and burned to a crisp lukes aunt and uncle who raised him since birth, kidnapped and tortured his sister, killed his mentor, cut off his hand, froze his best friend in carbonite etc.. Yet Luke was still willing to sacrifice himself to redeem his dead beat dad who he only met a cpl times in his whole life.

This movie should be pushing 4 billion easily topping avatar. It will probably make around 1.2 billion. Disney is already claiming its a success. Take it for what you want.

A billion after Disney has bought 300 Million+ in seats - so as to manipulate the appearance of ticket-sales.
The reason they aren't planning to make hardly any movies after this, is because TROS barely broke even.
They probably will make 400 Million tops against a 300 Million budget.
That kind of sales doesn't usually guarantee any more films in a series.
TROS is a disguised-flop.

I feel bad for the people who thought "lets go have some fun on christmas day and see star wars!". Imagine the disappointment. They'd be better off if George Lucas drove by in a limo and whipped a large piece of coal at their heads.
