I don't get why people want these DCEU actors to stay if they clearly want out and don't enjoy the roles anymore.

The problem is that people assume they don't, when they haven't said as such.

iirc, Cavill never said he doesn't want to play Superman. Gadot never said she doesn't want to play Diana. Momoa and the others, to my recollection, haven't said they don't want to play their characters.

The only person that really gives that impression is Affleck. He's the exception, not the rule.

Then why did WB themselves put out some half ass ignorant statement whether or not Cavil is staying on or leaving? It just seems that WB are moving away from Batman and Superman for the time being... During the Elseworlds crossover [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Batman gets mentioned

Also I saw that Batman might be getting cast for Titan's season 2... Also its being reported that the CW MIGHT be doing a Superman show.

So it really doesn;t make sense for them to go this route for Batman and Superman if indeed one or both are still gonna be live action.

As are the CW, just less-so.

Them being in the CW shouldn't affect them in movies, especially seeing as how we've seen how fickle they are. They don't plan things as far ahead as Marvel do.

Cavill might never play Superman again; that's true. But if he doesn't, I'd believe that's WB's fault, not Cavill's.

I think hes officially still Superman (Cavills own agent said he was) but WB/DC just have no plans to use Superman for a long while.

Theres probably also a pay dispute like with Chris Pine holding up Star Trek 4. On top of WB wanting Superman to take a back seat for a while.

I don't know if that's still in effect.
