Carver you are acting like those fairies on Comicvine who just can't handle that Superman would stomp Hulk, Thor and Martian Manhunter.

Ok, you're right. I'll concede. He wasnt amplified. He flew through one sun and he didnt receive an amp. He decided to fly in an untold amount of suns just to look cute. When he punch WF, the giggles that he got just from flying in suns was to show WF that he doesnt need an amp, the Superman fist is strong enough.
Team Superman.

But weren't those stars hollow & tiny? (not my logic) So what's stopping Superman from zipping into one full sized star & getting close to WF levels in a few seconds at FTL speeds in a battleboard setting? Aside from OP restrictions of course.

Hence the temp ban. Ppl were saying it’s JUST cuz he’s “too powerful” but really it’s just that he’s way too inconsistent, and given that recent ban-triggering feat, the mods want to see where he’s gonna be at NOW based on the current story before considering him to be fair game again....
Right? I don’t know. My reading comprehension fails me sometimes. I’m a 30-y-o fanboy of a teen amalgam that only exists on 6(ish) non-canon panels.
I’m much more interested in discussing other “ownage.” Like remember when Spider-man was beat tf down by the Raft breakout in the early New Avengers books? Has Wolverine ever been beaten down that bad, or does Marvel have a strict policy to never allow the publishing of something like that to happen, out of fear of fan backlash? Bane broke Bats for chrissake!! Wtf!
Also I love everybody
In part, yes. It was never "OMGZ Superman is an heckin' Skyfather!"; it was always more about how Superman defies classification, and the headaches that come with that.
People still either haven't read Doomsday Clock, or don't understand that PRE-CRISIS stuff, in it's entirety, was basically made canon. PRE-CRISIS. And everyone knows how ridiculous that guy was.

I do find it hilarious that NO ONE is questioning how large those suns were - when those same people were poring over planet sizes and now, continents lol.

By comparison, this is Earth next to our Sun:

Those suns look tiny as phuck, lmao. And he was only in them for a few microseconds.
Interesting no one replied to this
In short, just being near a tiny little sun (city sized?) Was enough to amp him up from being near death, despite only being there for a second or so.
Imagine our Sun, a million times larger than that one

I don't mean to sound dismissive, I just don't think it matters in the end. The way Superman's physiology works, even the smallest amount of solar energy can be converted in to massive amounts of power for him.
Him being more efficient at solar energy conversion than other Kryptonian's is no big surprise to me.

Pretty much. There is no hard and fast rule for Superman and solar recharging - he's not a phone battery that needs X amount of time with Y amount of amps in order to be 100%.
If the writer wants him to be supercharged in a battle, he can be.
In effect, like Hull, without the anger limit.

Superman was amped tremendously, period. No amount of headcanon or conjecture changes this fact

Plus I'm not arguing Surfer is *physically* stronger.
Silver Surfer can bind Superman's consciousness to a spot and cease the vibrations in his molecules, thus, immobilizing him.
(please log in to view the image)
Surfer can phase out Superman's internal organs like Brain, Heart etc like he did with Dawn. Phasing his brain out will kill him.

He had a wide variety of options to beat the guy

What.

Galan, what I'm saying is It's not a proper sun amp,but a little one.
look at the scans.he's flying at FTL speed at that time WHEN he's going THROUGH few suns.
now since he's flying Through sun with FTL speed,he via default Didn't stay in each of those suns for a second logically.
hence the amp was "very little" compared to usual sun amp(which takes 15-20 minutes oe even years sometimes).
so basically, the sun amp he received in this issue was very little compared to usual sun am that he got previously.
But we can agree to disagree
No, Albert, say it ain't so!!!

I've yet to see anyone say that he wasn't amped... So why do you and carver keep mentioning this like it's a thing?

Remember in Superman/Batman, when Supes went from getting wrecked by Darkseid, to effortlessly ripping him apart and throwing him into the Source Wall, just by moving in close proximity to the sun for a second or two?

I think we can easily quantify the amount of time he spent in each sun. There were 5 that we know of.
If he's traveling thousands of times faster than light how long will it take him to fly through one? 1/10000 of a second? These are yellow suns and not red giants so they should be about the size of our sun.
If he flew through 10000 suns he'd only spent one second in the suns after the first one. I don't think it was the sun amp it's superman doing superman things. Like the guy that jumped off WF'S planet when he had to but could not earlier at higher levels of power.

how much time did he spend in each sun going 1000's of times FTL? He took a swim in the first sun to recharge the rest he was in them for maybe a second or 2.

thats stupid.
superman preformed the feat. just superman.
saying crap like "well so and so could have also done the feat if they were amped" is just arbitrary bullshit. makes you sound even more butthurt about what superman did honestly.

bro re read my post. I never said he wasn’t sun amped. The first dip stated he was clearly above his normal levels. You’re trying to say he got the same level of amp from each sun which is not true. It’s obvious he got a bigger amp from the first sun because he took a swim and even paused in to check his levels. The rest of the suns he flew through them faster than light so how much of an amp could he have gotten compared to the first sun?
